Nasri's best period for us this season was when Fabregas was injured and he played centrally. Most of Nasri's goals came before Christmas.

As for Ryo they both hail from other side of the world. I have just looked at his wiki, he is quite tall which I never realised. 6ft Ryo, 6ft1 for the Fin, Cahill is 6ft2, Chris Samba is 6ft4. Could Wenger be trying to reassemble his invincible side? They bullied sides because they were all really big.

So is the new defender we bought going to feature in the first team plans? I thought with his age he'd be going into reserve action for a couple of seasons. I don't know anything about Miyaichi either apart from what I read on his Wiki page, I was also surprised that he's 6 foot, thought he would've been a munchkin. :p

Anyone know anything about Pato Rodriguez?

We're signing him as well apparently, just waiting on a work permit :D

(got to love silly season)

Just read this too - supposedly for £10m (is he likely to get a permit - not sure how many caps he has / or if its under "special talent" or whatever they call it)

Heard Gibson is rated at £5m (along with OShea) and Wes is a measly £2m due to 1 year remaining on his contract (dodgy source though , DFail, so that might be wrong).

Very happy with our signings so far. Didn't know much about Jones but watched some videos on youtube and he looks solid. Ashley Young has always impressed me at Villa, hope he can fit in at united, he is class.

Argentinian football's been fantastic this year. Enjoyed watching a lot of the games. It's better at the end of the half season where there aren't so many 'dodgy' 0-0s, but all the games are fast past, really technical and it doesn't have as much simulation as the rest of that continent.

Young is a done deal apparently. I think he'll be a very good signing for United, at least he can cross a ball unlike a certain winger there. :D

Nasri has certainly been the buzz word today, seems like there could be legitimate foundations to this story

Most reliable bit of info from Twitter on this today;

I'm hearing reports that Samir Nasri's representatives has indeed agreed a deal enabling him to join #mufc
