The Nasri 9PM thing was just a Twitter rumour started by some one claiming to be his agent.

Liverpool have had a bid accepted for Connor Wickham as well according to some Twitter accounts, who have been seriously accurate past week or so.

All these twitter 'itks' are full of ****. They all follow each other and copy each others bs which causes the mass hysteria.

All they do is just add a bit of bs to a story in the press and if the transfer comes off, they're genius's and if not, 'he had a late change of heart'.

There's 1 guy that a couple of people have mentioned on here; he's spent all afternoon patting himself on the back for revealing we had a bid accepted for Henderson (albeit after we were linked with him in the press) but has totally forgot that he also said Jones was signing for Liverpool too.
 
They ain't ITK's. :confused: They just post what they hear from who ever. This is a rumour thread after all.

Exactly, if people only posted from 100% reliable sources then 1) the thread would be 2 pages, because b) people could only post when the official sites are publishing the deal being complete.
 
Like I said, there's a group of them that just copy each other. These non-itks are just repeating bs made up by others.

I know this is a rumours thread but there's degrees of rumour. Like others have said, these twitter rumours are beyond a joke now. Liverpool have signed nigh on ever player on the planet according to twitter.

Tbf Liverpool havent signed every player it depends who you look at on Twitter i agree ALLOT/MOST of them are complete utter BS but some do spread info they may of heard which could be realistic, Also some of the rumors are atleast amusing since so far transfer window has been abit meh.

If you dont like it dont read it then simples, If we didnt post some rumours in here this thread wouldnt of even got this far.

You haven't been linked with more players than Spurs though! :p I agree there are a lot of BS Twitter accounts spewing out stuff, take that Liverpool fan who started the Jones failed his medical rumour for example. But there are a lot of reliable ones on there, who have been getting a lot of stuff right via sources well before the main stream media. But then again a lot of people who work for main stream media are posting stuff on Twitter before it gets put into their respective newspapers or websites. If you don't want to believe them or trust what they say just take no notice of what gets posted.

Utter twaddle.

Thread length and discussion were fine in previous windows without such a heavy reliance on twitter and the highly annoying 'ITK'.

Now it's just a race to see who posts first from some idiot on Twitter. Granted yes that's probably what paying Auntie does as well but at least there's some sort of recognition from the beeb. :p

I mean for example what was the point of the Nasri 9:00pm thing?! At least an official source would check as to whether there'd be an announcement. Can you imagine Sky Sports' cameras rolling out to a closed door and then turning away because it was a hoax?

I use twitter for football news so I'm not totally against it but like you say, you've got to know who to follow.

But some of the rumours off twitter, we may as well make up ourselves.

I do get ****ed off with people calling certain people good sources though, when they link clubs with 100 players and when 1 comes off they come out with the 'I told you so' ****.

Latest on Ngog to Sunderland: Fee agreed between clubs and Ngog keen to make the move but is on holiday and Sunderland happy not to rush him back.

Yes it's from twitter :p but from a decent journo - George Caulkin from the Times.
