Arsenal have made him what he is. Also did you not see the stats posted on the other page about Fabregas having more assists than anyone else in the last 5 years in the top 5 leagues in Europe, hardly being held back at Arsenal if he's out assisted people like Xavi, Dani Alves and Iniesta...

yea, but wheres the silverware? Thats what I am saying. He plays fantastic at Arsenal but its the end product that matters. He isn't getting what he deserves for his performance level.

Carrick signed a new deal
argh, I thought I dreamt that. :(

Only because he is the only player who does that in your team. If you look at barca, they have several plamakers on the pitch to get assists, not just the 1 bloke. Hence why he has more assists:)

Come on it's not as if we haven't had a chance of anything at all. A few years ago we came very close to winning the league, this season just gone we were still in it right until the end and when the season finished we were 3 points behind Chelsea, even though the manner of our title challenge was disheartening. We were also in a cup final and if the other players were motivated enough we could have picked up a piece of silverware right there.

It's not as if he's playing for West Ham is it.

No doubt but Rob was saying we were holding the individual player back which is absolutely not the case.

I don't think there's a better finisher in the world than Eto'o. Phenominal player, and EXACTLY what Barca need... it's a shame he was such a prat in the dressing room apparently, barca of today with him would be absolutely insane to see.

Would love to see him at Arsenal, him and RVP could work if RVP dropped back a bit? But that's two strikers for wenger...

Well i guess that means we wont sign him then =] any player who fails a medical shouldn't join us! Though Carroll managed to pass whilst injured so Medicals seem to make no sense :s

Being injured doesn't matter, as far as I know it's to do with finding out any potential long term/recurring problems.

Ah right fair enough well am glad then we haven't signed him or hope we don't if he cant pass a medical he wont last long in the EPL.

Players have failed medicals before and still gone on to sign for clubs. The club may give him further tests and then decide whether the risk is worth taking.

Oh i know they have i just hope we don't take the risk, Ive never seen him play all i hear is that he has had allot of injuries and ones that have kept him out for awhile, So id rather we go for some else and best of luck to him if we don't give him the chance but if we do then ill of course hope he does well for us.

Dennis Bergkamp? Although it's slightly arguable as he's another one of Arsenal's players that came there after a less than sterling time in Italy.

And of course was signed pre-Wenger ;) Ricoh signed him.

Although some argue that it was Wenger's suggestion it was a year before his arrival.

He joined Arsenal when I was 4 :(

Aww and there was me thinking it was just Baz that was a youngster round here. :p

Fair enough, I didn't remember who'd signed him, I just thought it was about as close as it got to a marquee signing for Wenger and it turns out it might not even have had anything to do with him.

you could look at it another way.

if you stuck xavi in a semi decent team, he would probably get the highest number of assists in the world. barcelona have a high number of playmakers in their team. arsenal have like 1.

so barcelona's goals can be made by a number of players, xavi, iniesta, messi, alves, pedro, etc. so 50 assists all shared out.

arsenal's are all made by usually 1. 50 assists given to 1.
