2 of which are usually on the bench when everyone is fit.

Which I personally find ridiculous, I'm tired of us weakening our own team in order to counter our opponents. How many top teams drop their best performers for tactical reasons? I can't think of any.

How many flair players do Barcelona have?

I knew that was coming up. Should have had money on it. Barcelona are the exception, not the rule.

Having any sort of discussion on this board about Manchester United has seemingly gone, because every single time it just ends up 'Barca this, Barca that'.

It's quite dull to read eventually and it's like an endless circle.

And also the whole Valencia/Nani stuff. It's like a weekly cycle.

I must agree.

I must agree.

Just the same way people probably think about the top four in the PL. It's all Utd, Chelski, City, Arsenal and Liverpool...

So when you support one of those teams you get an understanding of how the rest of the league feels when it is all Barca.

The best teams attract the best players. Barca are the best so they will get the headlines.

Any more rumours on the Arsenal front? Samba... Cahill?

Perfect. So I can now mention that Hearts' signing of Zander Diamond has been put on hold due to an issue with the medical. Mehdi Taouil has signed from Killie as has Jamie Hamill with Danny Grainger joining from St Johnstone as well as John Sutton from Motherwell so that's 4 signings so far in the transfer window without including Mr Diamond. Hopefully they'll manage to make a good start to their Hearts careers and maybe split the Old Firm.

In less positive news one Hearts player has just been added to the sex offenders register, something to do with lewd conduct over the internet to two girls under the age of 16.

I had to share this (must state that its sooooo far out of left field its practically laughable)

SAF has (according to Sportsvibe) set his sights on............................

Xabi Alonso!!!!!

Yeah like thats ever going to happen.

(Brilliant player who would be incredible for Utd............but considering where he's currently playing (and how important he is to the team) & who his previous team is/was, Messi is a more realistic signing imo lol)

At the moment, Nani, Rooney and Berbatov.

Only one of which is reliable / consistant.....so Im not sure whether it counts so much (and after last season its even debatable whether Rooney is consistant, not that he is in any danger of being sold / leaving)

After three seasons I think Utd fans need to face up to the fact that Berba (for all his silky skills) is never going to be the reliable goal-scorer Utd require when Rooney and /or Hernandez are not available. He may well have been the EPL joint top scorer, but over 50% of those were scored in 3 games, and I think over 75% were done in just 5 games (or 13 % of the season, from 24 starts...or 63% of games). Im the first to admit that doesnt tell the whole story , but even so thats pretty **** for a title chasing team

not the most realistic rumour I have heard :p

Has he? Or are you taking the rumours of a loan deal to Lille as that he's up for sale?

BBC has a link to The Times website that says he is up for sale, although it could be a loan deal. Cant check the link as you have to sub to The Times site.
