Chelsea get their man then, the guy certainly looks like he has all the ability to make Chelsea strong again. Just hope that his rep as the next Mourinho starts and stops with the success at Porto

This was my thinking too... I thought we'd bought him as a young first team prospect, rather than a number 2 (or 38 or whatever squad number he ends up with).

I think they were more successful than most people think considering they pretty much missed two of their main goal scorers to broken legs, for 5-6months a piece. They got around 30 points I think from Jan-end of season, and 19 in the first half without their 2 leading strikers for most of it and a decent amount of the second half of the season aswell.

I've said before I was incredibly impressed with Hughes's calmness under pressure as they flirted with relegation around xmas, he simply said they've had their strikers out, the team is great, playing well and when the strikers get back into the team they'll shoot up the table, and they did. Had Zamora and Dembele been fit all season frankly they've have been right up with Liverpool and Spurs.

EDIT:- Zamora missed 3/4 of the season, Dembele about 1/4 before xmas which was their worst period. Zamora has silly stats, 757 minutes played, 5 goals, 5 assists, if he'd played like that all season, they really would have been mixing it up with Spurs and Liverpool.

Those three should all turn out to be great signings for United.

I think it's time for Anderson to really try and make the step up, he's talented and has all the physical attributes to be a top midfielder, he just needs to really prove his worth this season.

I still think it's a bit of a shame United didn't hold on to Hargreaves, if they could have only gotten him fit :(

Anyway, I think United might need to add a center midfielder to beef up and pad out the midfield, but United have got a few good youngsters on the cards.
