****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

I know they filed a patent relating to that, but it will not happen, trust me.

If it does, Apple will be shooting themselves in the foot big time.

I agree they have had there FUN at the top and other companys are now very quickly catching up

Guys what the best deal for around £20 per month...

so far found this:
£29 for the phone
£21.50 per month
100mins
500txts
500MB data
unlimited o2 wifi

Good if you can get a signal maybe.

Just ended 24 months of sheer hell on o2. Never had so many dropped calls and "No Signal" notifications. As for 3G? Fuhgedaboudit.

36 hours in with this phone now and there's one thing the iPhone is still better at it seems.

Music sounds a whole lot better on the iphone.

Hmm. Not too sure about that one. Using my Etymotics the SGS2 is behind in a big way so far. Not had a chance to plug it into the main hifi or the Meridian F80 yet cos I don't have a dock

Time will tell I guess but so far it's not as good as the iphone for music over my usual headphones. And unfortunately, that's a fact.

I honestly think using the same headphones the SGS2 sounds slightly better than my iPhone 4. Odd.

whats the camera like on the S2? focus and shutter speed good? seen a review that thought the focus speed was below par..

It is nothing short of pretty amazing.

Agreed. Had a play with the video camera today and it is just stunning. Shame Samsung don't DO music as well as Apple otherwise it would be the worlds best by a country mile.

Well my hearing is certainly "strained" after trying to understand why Beyonce was headlining at Glastonbury tonight on the BBC. Glastonbury has gone X-Factor. I just don't understand the attraction or the talent involved.

Regarding the Galaxy SII audio, I've read quite a bit about it not being that great through headphones, compared to other devices:

Very good audio output
The Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II might have lost a mm around the waist, but it certainly hasn't lost its voice. The performance of the smartphone in our audio quality test is pretty good overall and it's really impressive in the active external amplifier part.
So when the Galaxy S I9100 has no resistance applied to its line-out it got excellent scores all over. There are really no weak points to its performance here and since its pretty loud too we are left with no other option but to give it an excellent mark.
Things aren't as impressive when you plug-in a pair of headphones. Stereo crosstalk, which increases rapidly, volume levels decrease and intermodulation distortion starts creeping in. The general result is still decent, but we've certainly seen better here.

I've watched movies and played music via my headphones (Ultimate Ears 100 and Sennheiser HD595 and can't say I've been unimpressed by the audio output at all. It's been loud and clear at all times.

I do not use the stock apps for music or movie playback.
