Current account balance? Was is yours.

Can I answer in 2 and a half hours? Pay day! :)

It's not a great idea to keep a huge amount in current accounts anyway, so the question really doesn't say too much for a lot of people (those with excess of money and those who are on the overdraft line every month).

Anyone holding more in their current account than they need for the day in cash withdrawals, is peeing lost interest up the wall.

Anyone?

I don't think so.

My current account pays 5% AER on balances up to £2.5k. This beats most, if not all, instant access savings accounts and even beats most ISA's.

Therefore I am very certainly *not* peeing lost interest up the wall by maintaining a current account balance such that I can benefit from this interest rate.

-4000 or thereabouts, as I have just spent out on hotels/flights etc for a business trip, so will get it back on expenses next month.

Can be anything from -5000 to +10000 depending on what day you catch me on.

Who is that account with? Do you pay anything for that?
