All true, but i would also presume that both you and my parents had children when they were ready to, not as soon as physically possible. I have a friend who regularly cuts themselves and thinks they deserve nothing but pain because the parent they had to live with for the first half of their life (so far) didn't.
A child is not something to force on people who don't want one, or aren't ready for one. If they want an abortion what right do you have to tell them they can't have one?

Ok, so the test was negative... its been 4 weeks, so I can be pretty sure its not a false negative? Is a blood test necessary??
Well, from reading up it seems the yasmin doesnt stop periods, which the pill my girlfriend is taking has... Ive tried asking her which pill she takes, but so far, and to be fair to her, shes been grumpy and all... oh i think i know what im doing etc etc!!
So... still trying to work out what shes on?!?! also is yasmin a "mini-pill" ?? ...

You're not going to like this advice, but here it is:
Refuse to have sex with her without a condom until she starts caring enough to stop pretending that it has nothing to do with you. Or just refuse to have sex with her without a condom, full stop. If she knew what she was doing, this thread wouldn't have existed. Unless she's trying to get pregnant and knows what she's doing in that sense. Maybe she won't tell you anything about contraception because she isn't using any.

Shes always been well up for using a condom, but as she is on medication that she needs for the rest of her life anyway I thought that it would be easy for her to get it right!!
Turns out many of the symptoms are due to her kidney desease which has really random symptoms

Everything went exactly as we would have predicted from many many similar threads from scared teenagers?
It certainly happened to me - longer ago than I care to remember. I love the fact that everyone is all 'Oh the youth of today.' when this has been happening for decades.
Sex is awesome - enough to completely warp the brain of most reasonably intelligent people.
Kids are also awesome - as long as you have a support network to cope. 17 is certainly not too young to have kids - I love the idea that we are suipposed to not be old enough to cope with kids till we are 30 odd. People generally mature when they need to in my experience.

At what point did I say they can't have an abortion? I just said that it is regretable that so many people are using them as a form of birth control when they are so easily avoided. Whilst finding abortion somewhat distasteful I am and will continue to be pro-choice.

Abortions are DISGUSTING I think only rape victims should have them.
If you and your girlfriends parents are half decent people they will help you out. I know some girls that were knocked up in school and it didn't stop them from going to uni like everybody else.

So no abortion in the cases where the child will be born severly handicapped? No abortion in the cases where the mother's life will be put at risk for continuing the pregnancy? What about a D and C in the case of a miscarriage, or would you epect a woman to carry an already dead feotus until her body decided to birth it too?
