Terraria - Dig, fight, explore, build

Hi all :)

I've put ~50 hours into Terraria, and I now have pretty much every single high end item. As such, I'm going to start a new character, as it's all a bit too easy :p

So, rather than throw everything away, I've put my world online for anyone to jump on and grab whatever they want:

server address is uvmain.dyndns.org. It's on my fileserver, so if too many people join, it may chug a little ;)

Still take anything you want :)

Joined to get a flamelash as that's the only thing I still don't have :( all gone though! :p
 
One of the biggest complaints I get about Terraria is the hellish nightmare that is Inventory Management.

As you can see from the screenshot, I've made a few changes that should help out quite a bit. The first thing you'll probably notice is the different colored inventory windows. This is something that has been suggested a lot. (Exact color scheme subject to change.) This will allow you to more easily recognize the different item areas on the screen.

There is also a new trash can "slot." This will allow you to retrieve the last item that you have thrown away. You can also store a 41st item here in case of emergencies, just make sure to put it back in your inventory before leaving the game.

When looking inside a chest or your piggy bank, there are two new options: Loot All, and Quick Stack. Loot All is pretty self explanatory, but the Quick Stack option should make hording all your goodies a much easier task. This will look through every item in your inventory that can be stacked with an item in your chests, and place it there. The idea is that after returning from an expedition you can simply run past all your chests and click the button to quickly store all your new items, while keeping them organized the same way.

Lastly, albeit a small change, items that are picked up will now be added to your inventory from the bottom right, instead of the top left. This should help to keep your personal inventories a bit cleaner by allowing you to keep the items you always carry with you on the top, and items that need to be sorted through and sold/stored/trashed in the bottom.

Feel free to come get them. :) Please note: I am around 7000 feet away from the normal spawn point, and don't plan on budging for a while.

I have two more ideas for the generator. I think both should work, will try one before the other though. Since it's an Mp map that might stop it from working, hopefully not.

I have placed two beds in my house, the one on the left is for me. Please, nobody destroy it. People keep destroying it all the time and it means I have to run 8000ft back to my house, which is very annoying.

As long as the server can handle it, this time the generator will almost definitely work, once I'm finished. I've been testing it as I go along, and all seems well. Finally, might get some closure!

I have another pair of rocket boots spare if anyone wants them. We found two pairs in one invasion earlier! :)

Someone has yet again destroyed my bed and I have to walk 8000ft to get to my base. Not impressed :(

I'm looking for 3 anklets of the wind. Is anybody willing to trade something for one? :)

Edit: Got 2 now, need 1 more. Got a few things I can trade in exchange:

Phoenix Blaster,
Shadow Armor (I got all pieces spare),

Both beds I set have been taken, and one of the infinite water tanks has been half emptied. The tank was still open but the water had bugged so was not falling out. Very annoying. Takes the **** really, it takes a long time to refill that tank, and much longer just to get there from the starter spawn point.

If whoever did this does it again I am not playing on the OcUK server anymore. We spent hours making that thing and it is not fair for somebody to deliberately sabotage it. I didn't bring a spare bed with me to set as my spawn point, so I'll have to log off and run all the way back if I want to put a bed there. Not impressed!
 
I've got anklets you can have.

About the beds - after the first time I had to trek back, I had the idea of making a bed way above the generator. Basically where no1 can find it.

I was also going to do that. I don't see the point if somebody is deliberately destroying our constructions. It'll have to be way out of reach, but I don't know who can be trusted to know of it's location. Guess a dynamite ban didn't stop people for very long. :(

On another note: I got an unconditional offer at a local college for a BTEC level 3 in IT. Woot.

Edit: I'm going to wait until nightfall on my Single Player so I can get illegal gun parts, to make a Sand Gun. Then log back onto the OcUK server.
