Whats that got to do with anything, Berbatov is almost certainly technique wise your best player, does he start every game? Fletchers job isn't to pass, create or be technically very good. Standing between the player with the ball, and the goal or the player he wants to pass to doesn't take a whole lot of technique, or passing ability.

He's employed to get in the way, kick people, foul people when required, and do his best offensively. Doesn't mean someone with far better passing and technique couldn't also do the defensive/positional/kicking part of the game equally as well but improve the offence part of his game.


Shami, one of the interesting things about N'zogbia is he's not like O'shea, he's not a body you can place anywhere, any player can do that. N'zogbia is usually pretty damn good in any role he's been given. He was a good left back, though an offensively minded one, he was actually excellent for Newcastle as a creative central midfielder, he's been excellent on the wing. Considering he can tackle has a bit of fight about him and works hard I would think he could do the DM role pretty well.

As above Fletcher really isn't particularly good at football yet he does the role well enough, realistically a good DM becomes great because of discipline and concentration rather than flat out ability.

Anderson has played in the Champions League for 4 years and won the thing but he's also unproven

So just how many years of champions league do you need to have under your belt before you're proven in the Nickg guide to football?
 
Giggs might have half a season. gibson hopefully leaves. fletcher starts the big games, not to tmretain the ball or pass the ball simply to.annoy other better players by running into them.

park is a winger, as was giggs; as was zog . you list park as a cm and giggs but cant see zog doing it? Come on. You're more transparent than a carrick.backpass to vidic.

We dont play a dedicated dm role we have carrick as a deep play maker and someone or 2 with him to make up for each others deficiencies. im saying zog can do whatever fletcher.does and likely what anderson does. that would really put him 2nd in the pecking order to carrivk, whom id ship out for a good tackler who.can pass...

He really and honestly couldn't. N'Zogbia may be able to play centrally but he's an out and out attacker so to suggest he could play there in a box to box/defensive capacity and hussle and tackle opposition players like Fletcher does is quite frankly ludicrous

This thread is quickly going the exact same way as that Asda thread in that you're really showing yourself up now

Park used to play centrally for PSV actually. Giggs has moved to the centre because of his age and ability to spot a pass, plus where was the risk in trying him there? If it didn't work then we would have lost nothing. If we spend serious cash on N'Zogbia to play him in that position and it doesn't work then we've lost a lot.

But you haven't actually addressed how this would make financial sense in anyway. N'Zogbia will be fetching a premium price if he goes as a number of clubs would likely be interested and Wigan have seen how inflated the market is, especially the UK market.

But none of that matters in your fantasy world.
