Let him go Levy .. he'll only disrupt the side if this goes on but something has to be done about this stupid wage/transfer bullying tactics which is spiralling out of control. Spurs have said no, so unless the player himself puts a transfer request in place, that should be the end, of it. But for Chelsea to then publically announce an improved offer is just unacceptable. These clubs should be fined or docked points before the start of the season, It's just not fair for any club that tries to build around consistency otherwise the contract, as we already know, is as water proof as rice paper

As I've pointed out since, Eboue is MILES better than Denilson, Song, Diaby...

I absolutely agree. Eboue is MILES better at playing right back. :p

I've only ever been angry Eboue isn't being played BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKE DENILSON were played ahead of him

How is Denilson ever picked ahead of Eboue? Eboue is primarily used as a substitute for Sagna, so what affect does Denilson have on whether Eboue is played or not? Enlighten me. :)

Snipped for space.
But as someone said in this thread it appears Larsson did ignore overtures from other bigger clubs than Celtic during his time there, Arteta on the other hand has never had the interest of one of Europes biggest clubs because had he he would have gone in a shot imo

Ah, in that case I see your point. Arteta is a good solid player but I don't think he can fairly be compared to Larsson in how great he is or could be.

Samba would be a great signing for Arsenal. He would be a rock at the back when they go away to teams like Stoke and Blackburn. He would most likely get at least 4 or 5 goals from set pieces.

Kind of hope Spurs buy him. While we have Kaboul, Bassong, Dawson, King, and Gallas, King's knees are not up to much, Gallas while immense last yr is in his twilight years and was getting a few niggles come the end of the season, and Bassong just doesn't do it for me.

Spurs are stupid.

should sign Samba ASAP and a Centre Forward, if you guys go into next season with Defoe, Crouch, Pav, Keane you will be furious, and rightly so.

Its hard to ship those players out. Keane 3-4 years ago could have played for most teams in the prem outside the top four. Nowadays the only teams who he could play for are the clubs usually down the bottom of the table fighting relegation. Not only would he rather sit on the bench collect his check than scrap it out, none of those teams can afford his 70k a week wage demands.

None of the top strikers around Europe want to come to Spurs, no Champions league for a start, While we can afford the big fee's Levy doesn't want break the bank and change the wage cap, nor can we afford to with such a small stadium. So we will have to take a gamble and hope to find another Berbatov.

I seem to remember all the Samba rumours starting shortly after I said on here that I think he'd be a great signing for Arsenal! I should be a scout! Please, anything but my current job!

Every time you say I've said otherwise makes you look like a moron.

Its quite simple, back when you and everyone else on here, for around 8 months thought Denilson was the best DM in the league

I don't see how you can take issue with people misquoting (or rather, misinterpreting) things you've said (or not said) in the past, and then come out with a bold sweeping statement like that regarding the views of others. I've certainly never intimated that Denilson was the best DM in the league and I can't remember/imagine many others have either.

Its quite simple, back when you and everyone else on here, for around 8 months thought Denilson was the best DM in the league, and I said Eboue is leagues better than him, you all seemed to think I was saying he's the best player in the world. You also ignored the point that when you all raved over Denilson I said he was one of the worst players in the team.

As I've pointed out since, Eboue is MILES better than Denilson, Song, Diaby, he's miles worse than Cesc, Gallas, RVP, and thats no bad thing they are some of the best players in the world in their position.

Find one post where I ever said that Denilson was ever better than Eboue? Stop posting rubbish with nothing to back it up, it's absolutely pathetic. Also, Song is a much better player than Eboue, if we are going to compare players from different positions.

Inter said today they aren't going to sell him (:(), but you never know.

I'm just amazed Fergie is admitting that we are targeting these players, yesterday he all but confirmed our interest in Nasri and today he's confirmed our interest in Sneijder...

Fergie said:
"Inter are refusing to sell him, so it's a difficult situation. We'll see"

One for Tombstone

Skysports.com understands Belgian midfielder Steven Defour will snub interest from the Premier League and sign for Lokomotiv Moscow.

The Standard Liege star has long been linked with a move to England and has been tipped to join Manchester United and Arsenal in the past.

But the 23-year-old is expected to complete what would more than likely prove a lucrative move to Russia in the next 24 to 48 hours.

At the same time, Defour's compatriot and one-time Blackburn target, Axel Witsel, looks set to sign for Benfica, despite late interest from Roma.

Defour joined Liege from Racing Genk in 2006, the same year that he made his Belgium debut, and has gone on to make more than 120 appearances for the club.

Maybe not as good as you thought? Or Fergie for that matter

Ok for the people who don't pay attention to football. Eboue has played games for us in central midfield and been miles and miles better than Denilson.

Also yes many/most Arsenal fans for a year said Denilson was brilliant, no I don't know which individual fans said so, many did, pretending most people on here weren't calling him brilliant in his first "big" season before then turning around and calling him crap a year later just makes whoever those people are look very daft, like the ones who say Diaby is crap, then brilliant, then crap again, or the ones who called Song crap for 2 years then brilliant and seem to finally be wising up again.

Anyway, Eboue plays central midfield frequently for the Ivory coast, he's played there for us, he's played left and right wing, left and right back, he's even played attacking central mid for us in a couple of friendlies.

Now where has song played, right back, defensive midfielder, wow thats almost like the two positions Eboue plays fairly frequently..... shocking. Denilson plays as, well I think its a perfectly good impression of a divot in the grass that people occasionally trip over but otherwise ignore, but you could also say he was a DM, a position Eboue plays. Diaby, played wing, DM, again both positions Eboue has played.

Eboue is indeed flat out better than all 3 of those players in ANY position they all can play in. He's rarely played DM for arsenal, mostly in preseason, and in a couple other games, in preseason, now a few years back, his partnership with Cesc was actually very good, they both love a good 1-2 and worked VERY well together. He plays very well when he plays there for his country.

But I should also point out I guess that again I quoted a post suggesting I had said Eboue was Arsenals best player and should be played ahead of everyone, which we see multiple times, pretty much every week from a bunch on here, yet I've never once even come close to saying that.

Should I be surprised that the Arsenal fans on here, who change their opinions on every play on weekly basis, aren't even aware what positions Eboue can play, where he plays for his country, or where he has played for Arsenal in the past.

I assume you all remember Diaby has played the wing many times for us, and Denilson has played the wing for us quite a few times in the past.

Eboue has played so few games in central midfield compared to along the right side of the pitch that I can safely say in no way, shape or form are any of our central midfielders preventing your precious Eboue from playing.

The only player who is keeping Eboue on the bench is Sagna, but how can that be, because Sagna is terrible isn't he DM? I am also fairly certain that no Arsenal fans here have described Denilson as brilliant. He's dire, most of us are unified in opinion on that one, so take your keyboard out your arse and maybe you won't post so much crap in future.
