AC Milan have been signing some really good players.

Ibrahimovich (was on loan previously, signed for peanuts), Taiwo (free) and Mexes (free).

Out goes Pirlo (on a free but is getting old).

they could be real contenders next season in the champions league front, real under dogs, with their defence and keeper looking pretty tight, world class forwards, its now only their midfield which is letting them down.

boateng, seedorf, van bommel, gattuso, flamini, ambrosini

all of them are ancient apart from boateng and flamini. all decent players though, but lacking compared to defence and forwards.

i put them down to do extremely well next season, might even cause a few upsets.

Mexes on a free is a very good signing.

Can't see them competing with the big boys in the CL though, they don't seem to have the right tactics / work ethic. They also lost to Tottenham last year which is just embarrassing for everyone involved in Italian football ;):p

Flamini was never THAT good (Gattuso was great, but how is his body holding up?Seedorf is getting on a bit too. Both brilliant players in their prime but on the slippery slope of decline due to age)

The Sun and the Daily Fail are the last people that should be quoted about done deals :)

Ok for the people who don't pay attention to football. Eboue has played games for us in central midfield and been miles and miles better than Denilson.

Also yes many/most Arsenal fans for a year said Denilson was brilliant, no I don't know which individual fans said so, many did, pretending most people on here weren't calling him brilliant in his first "big" season before then turning around and calling him crap a year later just makes whoever those people are look very daft, like the ones who say Diaby is crap, then brilliant, then crap again, or the ones who called Song crap for 2 years then brilliant and seem to finally be wising up again.

Anyway, Eboue plays central midfield frequently for the Ivory coast, he's played there for us, he's played left and right wing, left and right back, he's even played attacking central mid for us in a couple of friendlies.

Now where has song played, right back, defensive midfielder, wow thats almost like the two positions Eboue plays fairly frequently..... shocking. Denilson plays as, well I think its a perfectly good impression of a divot in the grass that people occasionally trip over but otherwise ignore, but you could also say he was a DM, a position Eboue plays. Diaby, played wing, DM, again both positions Eboue has played.

Eboue is indeed flat out better than all 3 of those players in ANY position they all can play in. He's rarely played DM for arsenal, mostly in preseason, and in a couple other games, in preseason, now a few years back, his partnership with Cesc was actually very good, they both love a good 1-2 and worked VERY well together. He plays very well when he plays there for his country.

But I should also point out I guess that again I quoted a post suggesting I had said Eboue was Arsenals best player and should be played ahead of everyone, which we see multiple times, pretty much every week from a bunch on here, yet I've never once even come close to saying that.

Should I be surprised that the Arsenal fans on here, who change their opinions on every play on weekly basis, aren't even aware what positions Eboue can play, where he plays for his country, or where he has played for Arsenal in the past.

I assume you all remember Diaby has played the wing many times for us, and Denilson has played the wing for us quite a few times in the past.

So basically you can't provide any evidence for people saying Denilson was fantastic other than your memory. Fail.

As for Song playing DM and RB, I can't ever remember Song playing RB, although I stand to be corrected. He plays CB when required, and does a fairly decent job, but not RB.

You really are the most pompous Arsenal supporter I've ever come across. You obviously feel your knowledge of Arsenal/Arsene/football in general is far superior to anyone else on these forums. And if anyone dares to challenge your view, you promptly put them down by saying they are wrong and then backing your viewpoint up with unproven statements.

Honestly, take a step back and get over yourself.

Paul Konchesky signs for Leicester from Liverpool.

Leicester look like they're building an excellent squad for this season - would be geniunely surprised if they didn't get promoted.

Nugent, St Ledger, Mills, Konchesky, etc. and they ended last season with one of the strongest squads in the league too!

The Man City if the league...still they're only signing Championsip players, and not the best ones...last season they had Prem players on loan.

Indeed, it's deceiving on FM because he comes up when you search for players with a year left and then he's already signed. But I digress...

"On 28 August 2010, A.C. Milan announced on their official website that they had acquired the services of Ibrahimović for the 2010–11 season. He will be loaned out to Milan for the 2010–11 season, with Milan having the option to purchase him outright from Barcelona for €24 million at the end of the season."

So it wasn't a year ago

He signed the 4 year deal soon after joining Milan on loan. Maybe not "signed" but agreed to at least so it was certain he'd be there for the 4 years after the initial year on loan.

28 August 2010

OME (AFP) - AC Milan have signed Sweden forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Barcelona for 24 million euros, the Italian club announced on Saturday.

The former Juventus and Inter Milan striker will join initially on a year-long loan before signing a permanent deal at the end of the season.

He is due to undergo a medical on Monday, after which he will sign a four-year contract.
