The Man City if the league...still they're only signing Championsip players, and not the best ones...last season they had Prem players on loan.

Very true, but they are picking up some good players - matthew mills could likely fit into the defence of any mid-lower prem side. He'll be a top defender shortly I reckon.

Also, knowing Sven's ability to convince players to join in with his plans, he'll probably pick up a few good prem loan signings at some point too.

tbf it must be complete otherwise they'd surely of been some speculation about him so far this summer.

Wondered why City hadn't been linked with him :D

:D

Yeah that article I linked to seems to have a mistake in the wording. It says that he will sign a permanent deal at the end of the season but then underneath it says he will sign a four year contract after undergoing his medical at the time of joining for the loan spell. They should have said he will spend the initial year on loan after which point the loan spell ends and a 4 year contract will come into effect.

I heard on SSN yesterday that Corinthians had made a £35,000,000 bid for Tevez which Man City rejected? I wonder how much they are actually asking for him.

Yeah I posted about that and no-one replied, can't understand why they've rejected it. Money isn't a massive issue to them and the opportunity to sell him to a club that will never be a rival seems too large.

Jay Bothroyd signs for QPR. Decent player not proven in the top league, so be interesting to see how he does.

I don't imagine he'll do much. He's like Beckford without the pace.

I thought QPR would be aiming a little higher TBH. It isn't like they don't have the cash.

City are insane to reject that bid tbh, the player wants to go and ideally he wants to go back to South America, they get a bid of very good money (more money than I thought any South American club would offer) and they turn it down :/

They're not exactly short of cash...they'll just hold out for what they want and **** Tevez off at the same time.

Indeed.

I think that City are worried they won't be able to find a suitable replacement in this window, and would rather risk having an unhappy Tevez than having no Tevez at all.

How have Corinthians got 35m? Is there much money in Brazil?

Drugs, duh! Or the price of Brazil nuts has skyrocketed. :p

Indeed. Football clubs in Brasil also spend money without worrying about going bust due to their role and importance to local society so they're in a win / win situation. They're so far removed from "how" Football clubs "should" be ran.

I think that not being short of cash is a good reason to accept the bid, even though it is below their asking price. There is nothing to be gained from keeping him just to spite him.

Alan Smith back to Leeds rumours hotting up again. Sky betting have suspended bets today after some significant overnight bets.

Hope it's true as it will automatically make my decision for what to get on the back of the new shirt!

So basically you can't provide any evidence for people saying Denilson was fantastic other than your memory. Fail.

As for Song playing DM and RB, I can't ever remember Song playing RB, although I stand to be corrected. He plays CB when required, and does a fairly decent job, but not RB.

You really are the most pompous Arsenal supporter I've ever come across. You obviously feel your knowledge of Arsenal/Arsene/football in general is far superior to anyone else on these forums. And if anyone dares to challenge your view, you promptly put them down by saying they are wrong and then backing your viewpoint up with unproven statements.

Honestly, take a step back and get over yourself.

Dm doesn't need proof. If he said it then it must be real. Only when people say he has said something that he hasn't is it wrong.

If he is allowed to make crap up against us then so should we be about to of him.

Ok for the people who don't pay attention, I have never supported Arsenal and never will. I am really a Spurs supporter

So there you have it. Quoted. Probably just as real as some of the things that he says about the rest of us Arsenal supporters :p

know he's been linked with a few teams, but hasn't aguero been mentioned a few times, seems to have become a bit keener on moving recently.

value wise, could it be that he has some sort of clause in his contract that any offer accepted is the price anyone can have him for, rather than city being able to refuse bids to keep him away from rivals ?

Well to be fair, I think Sven did a great job with the foxes last season. Taking them from the bottom 3 half way through the season, to just missing out on the play-offs.

I am expecting even better things this season, and have got to be up there, or there abouts :)
