I don't think he'd step down TBH.

Wages wise? I would imagine he would take a slight drop in wages due to the increased bonuses over the course of the year with united. Performance based bonuses for getting into the latter stages of the champions league have to be worth a few quid.

If SAF doesnt think Nasri is coming to Utd (and imo he was talking about ever, not just this summer) - not entirely sure why you are convinced otherwise , and also not sure why Utd would go for Nasri once Sneijder was signed anyway.

Well we've been interest in both this window so why not? Plus as I keep saying Giggs' place in the squad will probably need filling next summer and Nasri seems to the perfect fit there (can play wide left and in centre mid)

I for one aren't paying too much attention to Fergie's comments about Nasri and Sneijder, his comments about Nasri going elsewhere seem to be miss-informed as it appears he is staying at Arsenal (an option Fergie did touch on) and he keeps saying there's nothing in the Sneijder story because he doesn't think Inter will sell yet at the same time says we need to replace Scholes - if we need a replacement then surely at this point in the window something is happening somewhere with someone and all the media are pointing to a deal with Sneijder. Fergie's also not known to publicly declare interest in a player until he feels the deal is done.

I think he was trying to be funny :o

Wages wise we could pay more than Inter, playing wise it goes without saying United would be a step up

United aren't in the CL, we haven't been for a few years now. We're not even in the Prem :)

Im not sure that we could pay more than inter in wages. I thought he was on 170k a week at inter? Players could not care less what their wage is as its all relative to the countries taxation. We tax a lot more than italy so his wages would have to increase a fair bit to even match his take home pay from inter.

Just looking over those potential Liverpool teams and laughing at the better than anything Spurs can put out comments. There is only one player in the current Liverpool squad that is better than anything Spurs have in their respective positions, and that is Reina.

Forest apparently in for Greening - £600,000. Would strengthen the centre of midfield pretty well at Championship level, leaving Majewski and McGugan to get on with it.

Also after Routledge who'd be excellent (£1.4m) but if Swansea are also in for him, can't see us succeeding.

Just hope we don't lose any more players. Chambers and Camp are apparently targets for Reading and Swansea respectively. Those two would be a massive loss for us.

190k pw is what's being reported, I'm not sure he's on as much as 170k at Inter

How is Dalgliesh able to spend so much money, when Liverpool apparently can't afford a new stadium

I didnt think we couldnt afford a new stadium. I thought all we said was that it would be more expensive to build a new stadium compared to renovating Anfield.

However, it may well be that , like any company, there are different funds in different budgets. For example, my company might well not have enough money in our Hardware budget to purchase 20 new printers, but have enough money in the Infrastructure budget to purchase 4 new blade servers.

With the situation with Nasri Wenger has already stated that he doesn't want a repeat of Flamini with Clichy and Nasri. Clichy is now sold and Nasri is still at the club.

What does that tell us? It is not in Wengers mindset to waste the clubs money (he sure as hell won't spend it lol) so I think he thinks he can convince him to sign on again.

Now the players are back with Wenger I think we have a better chance of keeping them happy.

If he does let his contract run out then that would be a major slap in the head for Wenger.
