What was ridiculous is how awful Fergie was tactically in the final, the teams that really trouble Barca, basically go all out attack.

For 6 years of total Barca dominance 99% of the teams they have played shut up shop, Barca are USED to playing that way, when even a crap team goes all out attack at them they make mistakes, lots of them, losing to one of the weakest teams in the CL and in the league. Arsenal's dominance in a 25 minute spell came from pure attacking football, not great defence.

So Fergie, seeing generally speaking how to trouble Barca, dropped attackers for more defensively minded players and had everyone sit back. Worse still Valencia was having one of "those" games, where even a decent player is in the worst game of their career, so take him off after 25 minutes, or half time, or any of the numerous times he looked like he'd get sent off.

Nani was a big part of Utd's creative output last year, Young is good enough to replace him but why, why not upgrade Valencia to Young and keep Nani and just buy a different central midfielder, not one that is stupidly expensive, UTd aren't Real, they don't have to make the biggest name signing they can just for the sake of it.

Its a daft move to lose Nani, but I said before, players who get dumped out of the biggest games for not only a tactical reason, nor for a worse player, but for a tactical reason that utterly failed, will want to leave.

If its true its hilarious, Utd are practically giving away Nani, while Arsenal are point blank refusing to take an obscene amount of money for a player who isn't anywhere near as good. Opposite ends of the utterly retarded spectrum of stupidity.

Wow I thought the transfer of DM had gone through to Utd then. But you have to have a go at Arsene at the end

You do realise that because it was on the interweb and paper talk it must be true

To be fair I do like Nani and I guess Valencia was only chosen because hes a bit more solid defensively which was the way Utd played for the final and It didn't pay off, I would have liked to have seen fergie take a risk with a more attacking line up.

But how is that any different to the final we lost before hand to Barca anyway?

We played with Ronaldo up front and went conservative and lost.

We did it again, dropped our flair players, and ultimately lost again. We were never even in the runnings. I'd rather go down trying to win than play a foreign tactic (to us, we are about attack not defence) yet fergie committed the same mistake again. It was awful to watch.

Nani should have started. Fact. Valencia tried to bring his own style of 'croppa socca' to the Champions League final an lets face it looked an absolute tool and nearly got himself sent off. On what merit? Non except that Fergie basically loves certain players and dislikes others, and unprofessionally, tends to hold a grudge.

To not even have berbatov on the bench i mean, come on.

Wow, you almost didn't make a post purely to point out I mentioned Wenger, but you failed, how often do you find the need to do that?

Heres a hint about why its on topic, the IDEA that Nani might go for stupidly cheap, is the polar opposite of keeping Nasri when we're being offered a ridiculous sum. At the moment, the IDEA of the two transfers are the two worst idea's, for opposite reasons, hence I mentioned them.

Again its not really my fault Wenger is turning down some 20mil for a guy worth way less than 10(because he's in the last year of his contract), if, I dunno, Everton were refusing to sell, Saha for 20 mil, and Saha was going to walk out for a free next year and Everton still decide that keeping him is the better move, I've have put Moyes in my post.

Blaming me for the Nasri deal both being prominent, retarded and Wenger being the Arsenal manager is pretty much a new low for you............ wait, no, thats about average for you.

No really, its my fault Nasri is in the press, Wenger's refusing to sell him and City are offering obscene money, I accept complete responsibility

Yep your correct my mistake, thought it was a transfer. In that case Cole/Gallas is the last one I can remember that wasn't youth players going one direction. Oh wait, Eto'o and Ibrahimovic.

i just think you see the rumours every season yet they never happen, half of them are as bad as some of the trades i get on fifa ultimate team, well i havent seen inzaghi and two formation cards for wayne rooney yet but i bet the sun will print some crap about sniejder or modric 2mor that will have the same sort of deal offered.

Yup, it does happen but its more the pure amount of times a swap deal is mentioned as a possibility then completely and utterly fails that makes it such an impossible to occur event.

Not surprising, the majority of the time its a club looking to offload a crap player and buy a better one, why would the selling club normally want to sell their best player and get a worse replacement..... rarely. The few times its happened like both you mentioned, its top notch players going both ways.

Im not arguing with you I was just saying why I thought valencia was chosen ahead of nani. It would have been nice to see Utd have a bit more flair in the team rather than play in a way thats only really worked for Inter so far against Barca.

What are you talking about AGAIN. I was having a joke with another forum member. No need to get your knickers in a twist over it. You must have super high blood pressure. Just chill out and don't take life so seriously

Please point out where I blame you for Nasri being in the press lol You are classic with your lies. Even JK Rowling comes up with a more believable reality than yours :p

You had a go, for no where near the first time, for me daring to bring up Wenger in an unrelated post. Heres a hint, if Wenger hadn't been involved in the other most ridiculous transfer story, that was the polar opposite of the Nani one, I wouldn't have mentioned him.

If I dare to mention Wenger in a post not quoting a post about Arsenal, and entirely about Arsenal, then you seem to pop up to ask why I have to mention Wenger, which you..... did again.

If you don't want me to mention Wenger, phone him up and ask him not to continually be such a complete moron, then we'd both be happy.

As for having a joke, you said nothing funny, and had two rolleyes and now appear to be trying to pretend it was a joke, while my reply was basically calling you an idiot, in a jokey/sarcastic way, which you seem to happily have missed, while not getting remotely wound up except at the stupidity of the average Arsenal fan.

Oh i know why Fergie thought it might work...but you cant play Park and Valencia in the sameteam and expect quality attacking play, or flair or control of the ball. Neither player is silky, or particularly skillful. They are both workmanlike but with Valencia being better overall than Park.

Then to make the mistake of playing 2 up front, both small, neither could head it in even if Valencia or someone id gt a half decent ball into the box. They got no service, no delivery. Might as well had not been there at all.

Whichever way you want to cut it, the responsibility for this sits absolutely with the manager.

Why are you so angry? I explained myself to you yet you ignore everything I said. You didn't even quote me where I blamed you for Nasri and the press.

You should take it as a compliment when I comment on your "work" because you are so "interesting".

You just need to work on your lie telling. It will make your nose grow longer. Seriously watch pinocchio....eventually if you keep doing it you will start to resemble an Arsenal CB. :p

Anyway I am not too bothered if Nasri goes or stays. Will we lose money if it goes wrong...yes. Will the club crumble because of it....probably not. At the end of the day it is Wengers neck on the line, if you are lucky he will get fired and we will have a new manager. Who would you replace him with?

Like i say i think Wenger should sell NAsri now for the money, but he knows that losing Nasri and Fabregas would be too big a blow for the team. He is hoping to keep nasri, impress with a strong season for arsenal next year and then resign the contract...It is a gamble as they might do rubbish and he will want to leave anyway but thats a chance i guess wengers illing to take. If he doesnt think he can bring in better than nasri or if the board will keep the nasri money anyway and not let him spend it, then why not keep him...?
