It does all seem a bit unnecessary tbh, though i do like lite'ning very much, i could easily live without it.

I know what you mean. Once I got to KE7 that was the first one I was happy with. But I was eager to test 2.3.4 and just couldnt wait
display time-out? or delayed lock when waking the device up?
i'd agree with that, i am rooted and since using titanium pro and freezing unwanted and drainage apps it is great. I will wait until the official update is released and then update via Odin, as Kies does not like my rooted phone.

i hope people use titanium pro for more than freezing apps as there are plenty of free apps that do the same. Im sure you do its just that whenever freezing apps mentioned, titanium pro always comes up lol

I got my Samsung Galaxy SII today (first android phone ), screen sharpness is impossible to put into words, amazingly sharp and clear. Phone is so light, I expected it to much heavier. Call quality is superb, no background noise.
Widgets are addictive and there is so much choice !. I also purchased the official Samsung cool vent case (the mesh one) for now, still awaiting for the "Original Samsung D30 Galaxy S II Leather Slip case", can't find a release date for this?

I've had to flash back to kf3. Initially i flashed to the stock kg1 firmware but the following day after flashing the phone got stuck in 2g. i'd messed around with different roms so i put it down to me doing something wrong. I got in from work the same day and flashed to lite'ning v2.1 (again kg1). I got my hsdpa back and that cool blue theme as well - happy days. The next day i lost all 3g againnow im back on KF3 for now.
I've no idea what caused this but hopefully its just a software issue and not a faulty radio

I've got the same problem as you had I think. Flashed from KF2 to KG1 and my network would just flake out constantly. It seems as if the radio was stuck in a boot loop. It would hold signal/3G/H for a while then die and only give me 2G. Couldn't make/receive calls and texts would constantly fail.
I've flashed back to KF2 but it's still happening. Might give Orange a ring and get them to take a look at the phone as its only 2 weeks old.

i reflashed kf3 (again) and cleared all caches and it seems to have done the trick mate. it could have been a rogue piece of software or something like that. I dont really know, but while am up and running on kf3 im not going to flash to KGx until it's officially released. i would recommend clearing everything, reflashing to stock kf3 and factory resetting. if that doesnt work, get on to orange.
oh and interestingly enough i'm also on orange. normally i wouldnt think anything of that but this wouldnt be the first firmware to cause problems on the orange network.

I wouldnt want to be a Don or Admin, horrible job. As for spam, I do help out a lot, ive just got no tolerance for lazy sods who can't be arsed to put effort in to find info, never have and never will. However please continue with the poorly written angry rants, everyone loves an e-chav.

Yeah I think it could be some rouge app or something. I'm gonna wipe everything again and not reinstall my titanium backup. Although my HTC Desire is doing exactly the same thing now which is also on orange.

Back on point. I went from KE7 (stock but rooted) to KF3 and found battery drain to be high, and found the gallery to be REALLY slow to load upon first launch.
so took the plunge and went to Litenin 2.2 - Initially had a couple of problems till I realised i was still running the older KE7 kernel! -doh!. Since updating the kernel to 2.3.4 its been awesome - not one glitch so far and battery life is nicely improved. Litenin rom is quite nice (with the little touches here and there).
Is it just me or do others find that most custom rom's are more or less the same? (I'm still praying for a Sense port!)

Praying won't be enough. Sense is exclusive to HTC devices, this is a Samsung

Where theres a will theres a way! - I really can't believe how many SGSII users are so negative to those of us that want Sense on it! It still amazes me especially on XDA how people are so insistent on not giving others a choice in what they use! Its not as if they HAVE to use it aswell!!!
