I won't claim to be an avid watcher of League 1 but as you clearly are knowledgable on the subject could you explain to me which areas Hazard excels at that Gervinho does not? :)

I've seen quite a lot of it and read / listened to many reports from League 1.

The stand out player this season has been Hazard, he's already a £20 million player, he's a better player going forward imho, he's younger and will easily improve.

Gervinho's good, just the cheaper option imho.

I don't believe that for 1 minute. If Nasri's as set on leaving as it seems, he'll leave this summer. No board will allow a manager to let a £20m player run his contract down and leave on a free if he's made it clear he wants out.

It came from Wenger's mouth in a press conference after our first pre-season match. He said something along the lines of the board is behind him, and that Nasri is staying. Which either means a free transfer at the end of the season or the signing of a new contract.

Are you sure? Because I "heard reports" that Gervinho was the best forward in Ligue 1 last season by far.

 The Rooney thing was settled last season, it's a moot point.

United have bought in two new keepers one as a first choice as a replacement, again moot point.

Nani - United bought in Young, either way Nani's not coming to the end of his contract and hasn't said he wants to leave like Nasri. Moot point.

Berba? Paper talk, Churnalists need to sell papers. Don't remember United accepting bids for any of those players ala Cesc either.

Didn't really understand the point of that reply :/

The point that you missed was that it is all paper talk. Didn't think I would have to actually spell it out to you. Lol

Wow just wow...

Are you suggesting this is all totally made up by the press and that Nasri and Fabregas are prefectly happy at Arsenal?

Nasri has come out and said he's not interested in signing a new contract and Arsenal have rejected bids the previous two seasons for Cesc and he clearly wants to play for them again.

It's a matter of time on the Cesc front and it's just stupid management if Nasri leaves on a free ala Flamini.

Yes and Wenger would never tell a lie to try and bump up the price, would he?

When asked if he had the boards backing, he was hardly going to come out and say he doesn't and that we've got to sell him now rather than lose him on a free.

Can you show me the interview where he actually says he is not signing? He said he wants to win things but never seen anything concrete. Enlighten me if you will.

Fab probably will leave but the point is he hasn't yet. And might not.

Yes you spent £20m on a new goalie. Does that mean he is better than your previous goalie? New country, new league...no I would say that is a backwards step for this season.

He's just scored 7/8 more goals in the league, Hazards over all play was far better last season.

I'm just going to assume that Hazard is the better player on FM. Okay? :)

Why would Wenger need to lie to bump up the price? We don't need the money, we've just been announced as the world's 7th most valuable sports team. 3rd most valuable football team behind Man Utd and Real Madrid. I hardly think he's going to come out and try to talk up a player who would probably sell for £10,000,000 and upwards. The only place I've heard the £20,000,000 figures quoted is in the newspapers, and they'd never make up anything, would they?

He might well be :o

Hazard was the stand out player last season when I watched / Read and listened to updates and commentary a bout the French leagues, Gerinvho just scored more goals domestically (and in cup comps iirc)

Arsenal don't spend big on players which is why they're so profitable, most clubs would be more profitable if they barely spent anything on fee's and just spent lots on wages. Gervinho was cheaper and the "easier" option.
