Quick paranoid question: If my phone gets wiped due to upgrading, and then I re-add my gmail account back to my phone, will my google calendar events online and my contacts online see the phone as empty, sync, and wipe all my contacts and events online or is there no chance of that happening?

no your safe. i have wiped this and my previous android phones well over 50 times,

remember also you can always take a backup of your gmail contacts in gmail, which is worth doing for many reasons.

yeah, so a general rule is to get contacts off your sim and get them all in gmail, they are much safer there, and you can always export them in gmail for further safety.

sms backup can be done using free apps on the market, or as i like to use 'myphoneexplorer' which u just google.
 
Already have my contacts loaded with Gmail, but was unsure just how much the restore would take off, its cool anyways solved a small problem I Was having!

Edit: I read that deodexing 2.3.4 breaks hardware acceleration on the browser ...that might explain why watching flash video in the browser or Pulse force closes sometimes too.

Ok, found out that it's just an issue with Cognition 1.13... it comes with Flash bundled, and I had to uninstall via Titanium and reinstall via the market. All working now :)

I used to run a rom on my old hero that had launcher pro on it and was able to 'flick' the shortcuts left and right. Is that possible on touchwiz?

Sure go into applications/go into edit/press and hold icon drag and drop them and replace the icon.

Well, looking at the graph...

He charged it.

He used it a bit.

He didn't use it for ages.

He used it a bit more (the sharp drop).

He then didn't use it until the battery went down.

I'd say there isn't really anything special about that battery life.
 
I know exactly who he is, which will partially explain the fact he doesn't just whip the phone out willy nilly like many of us do, hence why the graph he posted makes perfect sense and is entirely fair enough.

It isn't what I would call 'standard' use for most people though.
