Dont know if its been mentioned but Corinthians are denying that any deal has been made over Tevez. Looks like it could be carrying on for a while yet!

I'll be honest I slated Villa the other day but thinking about it if they replace Friedel with Given (who's had a medical today) and replace Downing with N'Zogbia (they had a bid turned down today) they'll probably actually be in a better position

Still need quite a few more signings up front and in midfield though.... And defence thinking about it

When asked about Sneijder by PA Sport, Sir Alex Ferguson replied: "Forget it. We are looking at some things but I am not so sure Sneijder will be easy to get. I could pick three or four players to come in but they wouldn't be good enough for us, so there is no point.

"I would be happy enough [to continue with the present squad]. Maybe I am a bit overloaded in the strikers' positions. The alternatives in midfield are not nearly as strong. But I have a good squad."

Oh god not the dreaded we're happy with the current squad line :(

Still no definite denial on Sneijder though, like I said this is probably going to go all the way.....

I just assumed that aren't English because your understanding of the English language is pretty terrible.

No bother.

Tbf he's posting on his phone while he hides in a bin stalking the local supermarket check out girls so give him a break will ya  ;) :p

Odd, i thought the same about yourself, if you cannot look past one or two grammatical imperfections. I don't know what your formal education is, but I am pretty sure i have forgotten more about english language, grammar etc than you have ever learnt. Such is life.

The trust if that predictive T9 is awful and alternatively i end up with a few B's instead of G's or whatever i do apologise for any inconvenience. But seriously, if you can't understand the gist of that post, i'd recommend a trip to specsavers mate, or maybe primary school perhaps you could do with brushing up on some pronunciation. The brain is hardwired to fill in gaps in text and make words out of partial words or meaning. Perhaps your brain has become, unwired?

It is telling that you choose to attach the grammar rather than the post an point itself though. I didn't realise that Standard English was perhaps the only kind of english you would understand. My erstwhile endeavour will be to produce prose flowing enough that not only can you comment on the quality of the text, but that you will comment on the points made too.

Villa have signed Shay Given, on a 5 year contract. Looking forward to seeing him back in action, always thought he was a class keeper.

Same. I was gutted when he left us but I was at the Liverpool game before the transfer request and you could tell that he wanted to leave then. Will be good to see him back in action

Villa give ultimatum to Big Zog to accept their contract or forget the move, after wigan may have agreed a potential 10 million deal.

Nzogbia is holding out for a bigger club apparently - from goal.com app.

I'm not sure where else other than Villa or us N'Zogbia could go though. Arsenal, Chelsea, City, Man U, Spurs, City, Liverpool all don't need a player in the position he plays.

Me too, I wonder how we will line up with him in the squad. Also I just heard on SSN that Denilson is set to go back to Brazil on loan.

Yayyyy sadly its a loan but hopefully he will be bought out of the loan....good riddance to one rubbish player.

Hopefully this Gervinho lad turns out to be good either scoring or assisting etc.

Arsenal have, lets count them out, how many natural wingers in the squad... theo - striker, Bendtner(if he doesn't go)- striker, Nasri- central, Rosicky-central, Arshavin, central, etc, etc. Arsenal don't have a single natural winger right now, the only player we have who has played and trained on the wing for most of his career....... Wilshire, our DM :p

Chelsea, Malouda/Kalou/Anelka, two are strikers, one is fair weather and useless, overpaid and at the end of a contract looking for a big career finishing up contract(malouda)

Liverpool only have Adam and Downing now, Kuyt ish, I'm fairly sure most Liverpool fans would happily see the back of Maxi, Cole, Jovanovic and N'zogbia in on half the wages, and he'd be an improvement, with those three gone they only have two real wingers.

City, SWP, Johnson, Silva, Weiss does look very promising though, SWP should be shown the door and Johnson is insanely inconsistant, selfish and stupid.

Spurs can't afford more players, have silly numbers of wingers, but N'zogbia's a deal and decent so Redknapp's probably putting in 6 or 7 offers a day for him, Utd, they still only have Young, Nani and Valencia, the latter isn't particularly good, the first two are excellent, the back up is mostly horrendous and Giggs is ancient. If Nani did leave Utd could certainly do with a 3rd winger who would be pretty high up the food chain when Giggs finally retires.

Oh god the "good squad" lines are coming from Fergie again, prepared for disappointment in the midfielder hunt now :(

Yeah. I'm still hopeful though, he said -

"Forget it. We are looking at some things but I am not so sure Sneijder will be easy to get."

He wants someone ideally, and there are other decent options aside from Sneijder, so we'll see I guess.

I think he has dithered too much regarding the midfield.
Its not as if Scholes and Giggs getting old is something thats come out of the blue, instead of coaxing them to stay "just one more year" he should have moved last summer at the very latest.
Its not as if he needs to sign a world class player to improve the midfield, just someone who is something other than utterly mundane going forward or someone who can get about the park with a bit of bite.
Just some mobility even.
