Orange Monte Carlo

I think the final price will be between £150 and £175. Not bad for a mid range device and companies have to start somewhere and they seem to be doing a HTC.

That puts it directly into Defy territory which is a considerably better handset.
One to avoid if its going to be nigh on 200 sheets.

I'd take the ZTE over the Defy personally. Same spec but the ZTE has a much bigger screen from what I can tell?

they will be losing a lot with if they set the wrong price.. blade sold well because it was the best android for under 100 and it didn't have any competition tbh.. now the skate has galaxy s, defy etc available and many users will simply take a better known brand over ZTE

Not really as I am sure that you would be able to pick up a desire or GS or something similar of a certain auction site or somewhere else for roughly that price, and if not, I would save the extra £20 or whatever extra it would cost to get them instead of this, which are obviously much better overall.

EDIT:

It would do well at £150 probably.

But for me to consider buying it, it would have to be less than £130.

Haha, I would have considered one for around the £120/50 mark. However at that price that's a good second hand iphone for that money.

the price is BS ignore it.

You wont know the price till orange gets them in stock and starts to sell them all prices before this happends are purely silly made up ones by sites trying to get hits for the "early information".

But from somone who was going to buy a SFC soon, i might hold off and see what its like.

Biggest concern is the keyboard interface as shown in some pictures as it looks worse than the SFC.

Also looks very very laggy when trying to slide, this hopefully be fixed as that just isnt acceptable for most people, better to downgrade OS than have that lag if i was them.

hopefully by end of July release

Well if the texting is as bad as it is on the san fran then I wouldn't touch it to be honest. Hopefully it has improved because its a quality phone other than that.

bigger screen so logically it should be easier to text..

Depends if the screen response time is up to scratch. On the san fran it would get to a certain point where it would bottleneck and take a good 5-10 seconds for the words to filter through and then the god awful auto dictionary would kick in.

If this has a decent screen response time and an acceptable battery/use ratio then i would consider one.
