Well dm a left footed wideman could help at man utd. we have giggs and anderson who are our main lefties in the middle. i think young is right footed as is nani and antonio, so we are a bit short there.

Blackburn have tabled a £7m bid for CSKA Moscow playmaker Keisuke Honda who has also attracted interest from Manchester City and Liverpool.
Full story: talkSPORT :eek::eek::eek:

Someone is going to be upset if that goes through :p

Wow ganbangzuo want to double Parks salary and make him play in china. i say let them and thanks very much. Is this a racist approach? Why cant they take gibson instead hes a united player too, pretty average all round and younger..

On a lighter i hear obertan is still in the mixer. perhaps we dont need another winger afterall.

Dont get me wrong, park is definitely a tryer but his technical ability is lacking, exemplified vs say a team like barca where time on the ball is precious. also he was more shocking than usual on icy pitches earlier in the season. He scored some uncharacteristically good goals too like chelsea.

i really dont want to harp on about certain players - but genuinely would nzogbia not be capable of doing a better job than park?

Different players imo - Park is like playing a DM on the wing, N'Zogbia is an attacking winger that is a bit versatile.

In what games should man utd the runners up of europe and champions of england be needing to play a dm on the wing?

And more worryingly- why? Evra was my player of the season a season or so ago. now im not so convinced. I dont know if his head or legs are lagging but he seems to be struggling positionally in defence.

Gazidis has stated that there is substantial funds available to strengthen the squad:

"We still will be active in this window,” said Mr Gazidis. “We haven't finished our business at all. We're just not conducting it publicly; we're working hard privately."

Good to hear but he is setting the club up for a massive fall with certain parts of the fanbase if some of this substantial honeypot isn't spent.

I'm feeling pretty positive at the moment. A player who clearly wasn't good enough is off to Brazil, we have brought in an exciting looking attacker and even if Fab and Nasri leave, we have shown that we won't just roll over when the big boys come knocking for our top players. I'm sure so far some Arsenal fans wanted a lot more to happen, but at the moment I think steps are being taken in the right direction albeit only small ones.

He also said:

"We understand where the weaknesses have been. Financially we're in a strong position, we have resources to spend. We're certainly not sitting there saying ‘let's hold back on our resources’ for some reason, why would we?"

I hope so for your sake Mr Gazidis.

Park has never been a DM while at Utd, and after his first season rarely plays in the middle (notable exception was season before last where he man marked a central ...Inter?...player out of the game) playing inside left - but that wasnt a dm position either)

Park is a good squad player to have, even if Young takes over the majority of games where Park used to play. He hasnt been strong enough previously to be a central part of a 4 man midfield which is why he was more often than not on the wing.

Depending on how SAF plans on playing Young will show how many (senior especially) games Park will get (as Young could be the AM, although that might be a shocking experiment waiting to happen to start with at least)

For any Utd fans that feel like having a laugh (how ever nice both players might be in Utd 's squad - cant see either happening)

I see Peter Hill Wood is saying that there has been no contact from Barca for Cesc since a £26 million offer some time ago. Now, whilst I understand that as Barca are in no rush to get Fab given the strength of the current squad, it must be a bit disheartening for Cesc. He clearly wants to go back there, so how must it make him feel that Barca aren't prepared to pay what he's worth.

As Arseblog says, CUoCO (Cough Up or **** Off).

We are lucky that Fabregas has a bit of class and won't go showing off and handing in transfer requests if he doesn't get what he wants. He'll stay another year and continue to give 100%. Shame other players can't take this example on board.
