In what games should man utd the runners up of europe and champions of england be needing to play a dm on the wing?

Against teams with a particularly dangerous attacking fullback. Alex Ferguson learnt over 10 years ago in the Champions League that you can't always attack, attack, attack.

In more rumour-related news, I hear that Spurs may or may not sign someone by this Friday.

Pep Guardiola claims Arsenal have agreed to hold talks over the potential sale of Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona. Guardiola says Barca have already made an offer and there is money available to pursue the Gunners skipper.

More from Guardiola on Fabregas. The Barca coach says: "Barcelona has made an offer, Arsenal another and we have time until 31 August and we'll try to reach an agreement. There is a sum of money set aside for this signing. We will fight to the end to try to get Cesc because we believe he will improve the team and the squad."

Still doesnt say that a fee has been agreed and that they are just an offer has been made and there talking about it. Nothing could come of these talks still though

Being all round better, faster, stronger etc i would have thought that anyone not wearing.korean tinted spectacles would plainly agree with this. Its things like that which make me really question every point you make in this forum about football. zog isnt exactly a cr7 or silva style one way player either. Imho he is all action, you never saw ronaldo at rb but you might have seen zog at lb...so lets not pretend that nzogbia has no ball winning or defensive qualities..

Hm but is that a consequence of not having a competant defensive midfielder though to win the ball back more frequently.

And remind me how exactly did our ultra defensive wingers perform in the cl final again? Ah yes i remember now - we couldnt cleanly get the ball near the half way line and spreading it out wide was a joke thanks to valencia etc.

Yes, an offer of £26m. (I would laugh if it wasn't all so boring)

They're still about £20m away from our valuation, won't happen this summer.

Was the opening offer not £30 million, and they've upped it to £35 million. Arsenal are holding out for £40 million?

Nope, their only offer this year has been £26m. They went to £35m last season but they value him less this summer apparently, which as fine for them, as Arsenal don't.

Ok I'll laugh now, £26m for Fabregas lolz

HA pot kettle son

I dont see how you can look at nzogbia and park side by side and conclude that for the forthcoming season that nzogbia wouldnt be a better more dynamic higher quality option - i really dont.

So when arsenal sell cesc what are they going to do? They pretty much rely on him and rvp, so who they going to bring in?

No idea, it's scary. Vital we keep Cesc. We could move Nasri (???)/Wilshere to the CAM role though. Or RvP, and buy a really good striker. Or Mata. If Fabregas goes, something will happen

I dont see how you do!

A player who's career pinnacle was at Newcastle who then acted like a primadonna to engineer a move to all conquering mighty Wigan who now is seen as a big fish in a small pond once the vastly better Valencia left (having both United and Real Madrid to choose from FYI) and now N'Zogbia is on the move again he's got the choice of going back to Newcastle or Aston Villa. No interest from United, Chelsea, City Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs (the latter two of which love to buy over hyped average footballers)

But yep all those clubs that are showing no interest whatsoever pail to your vastly superior knowledge dont they. Seriously give it up you're just embarassing yourself over and over again. In fact I dont know what's more embarassing your opinions on football or the fact that I'm constantly challenging you on them :o

**** it I'm going to bite.

IF we had both players then yes possibly N'Zogbia might work better but:

Park - free, proven experience at the highest level, proven ability in the role we want to use him

N'Zogbia -15 to 20m, very little experience at any serious level of football, not used to playing the role.

It's as simple as that, your living in a dream FM world where you can switch players out at will, we would have to sell Park and buy N'Zogbia for your scheme to come true, and it would cost us money and there is ZERO proof it would be a positive move.
