Is there a sardine shortage?

Im surprised you can even make a bowel movement from 210 eggs a week.

Never had a problem, just eat plenty of fibre and drink plenty of water...

My diet is egg whites/sardines/fresh baby spinach/oats/fruit/protein shakes/vitamin tablets and gallons of water each day.

I haven't yet been offered an animal I won't eat.

Exactly so your damaging the world worse then me and more cruel towards animals...pescetarians are lower on the list of "most damaging" then you meat eaters in terms of animal cruelty/global pollution/oil consumption/water consumption etc etc.

This thread has gone in a strange direction...but guess that was inevitable on general duscision.

Dont listen or take notice of the others. Do what you want, eat what you want.... it's still a free country with regard to your diet last time i checked... the only thing which will "limit" or "control" your diet, will be your own wallet and gullet...

btw, havent noticed a sardine shortage..... i'm a pilchard person... although not in the quantities you consume ;)

as for the animal huggers out there, as long as it is legally sold, it is for anybody to buy and eat, and you have no right to judge. If you want to make it illegal to farm in certain ways, then i suggest you stand for election or lobby your own representative. Because anybody can find something "immoral" about any aspect of your OWN life if they try hard enough. So stop throwing stones, least your crack your own windows....

Thankyou! Someone finally who's on my wavelength.

The difference is I have no pretence of it being a moral or ethical decision and my choice of things to eat has no relevance to your somewhat inconsistent ethical stance on choice of foodstuffs :p

I would totally get it if you ate free-range eggs, that makes sense, you care about the fluffy animals welfare and all. It's the ridiculousness of crunching through 10,000 battery-farmed eggs a year, supporting an industry based on frankly ridiculous levels of animal cruelty, while refusing to eat a chicken or cow because it's 'cruel' :p

You basically have a mini-farm of 30 caged chickens supplying you alone - who is more damaging now? :p

This morality in what food to eat is BS. If I want to help the world by not eating this and that, the best way is to drop dead, decompose and turn myself into plant feed.

No, I won't do that...I'd have that steak :p

Eat a balance diet, be happy :)

The point is he's the "animal hugger" here, yet will quite gladly eat 210 battery farmed chicken eggs a week. Is that not slightly hypocritical?

Nobody is saying your actions are worse than theirs - after all we eat animals because they're just so damn tasty.

What people are taking an exception to is your 'high horse' attitude when you're almost as bad as we are - at least we know we're monsters and have the decency to not care and leave you alone :p

You're a fricking nutcase, the "dream" or as I would call it, hallucination/delusion aabout a talking cow was just "LOLZ" really did that happen?

So you supposedly care about animals obviously not enough, battery farmed chickens and depleted fish stocks so yeah there's limited fish in the oceans due to overfishing.

This country can't even provide 50% of its own fish.
And if we carry on fishing the way we do there will be 0 fish on the planet in 30 years, think about that when you scoff your sardines.

Why didn't you turn vegan?

Think you need to go re-read the last few pages and read what I said word for word because your talking rubbish...I eat what I eat for one reason and one reason only for my own health reasons.

Also because I fell in love with bodybuilding I obviously have to eat high protein to build/repair muscle.

TBH every comment I've read from the people in this thread is laughable, a bunch of hypercrits...I dont really care what you think anyways...as the pages have gone on and I've talked further you see me saying I hate cruelty to sharks and then say well why eat eggs because thats cruelty too...hey, I cant stop all cruelty on earth, I watch documentries, I dont like what I see, the example I gave earlier was I would fish a fish out the sea and eat it, I'm willing to do that, but I wouldnt kill large animals like sharks...thats my view point...you going to ask me if I care when you stand on a spider?

Everything I have said so far has been streteched and taken out of context and attacked...this is totally pathetic...just stupid...really shows your level of intelligence.

The whole world is against cruelty to animals yet on some level we all eat something...weather it be a fish, beef or an egg...thats my point, everyone is being cruel on some level...yet you guys make out like I'm different, I'm no different from you in that sense, we all eat something, I guess appart from veggies/vegants.

I've never taken that stand point, unless you take what I said when defending myself with "meat eaters are worse then pesceterians".

Again your talking rubbish.

I'm a bodybuilder, I eat loads of egg whites and fish, end of....there should have never of been a 4 page argument on that...you can all go do one as far as I'm concerned...

Now now calm down, don't let the roid rage take over :p

Is there something wrong with chicken meat out of interest? Not being facetious it's just that seems that in terms of health a 'no red meat' option is pretty common so I'm wondering where the decision to go 'full pescatarian' as opposed to 'no red meat' - hell if I was a pescatarian/egg eater I'd go chicken a few times a week just to provide a bit of variety and in terms of resources I'm fairly sure I read that eggs and chicken meat are about the same resource-wise.

You are seriously increasing your chances of heart problems with eating that many eggs I imagine, the cholesterol in 200+ eggs would be ridiculous.

No he isn't. Dietary cholesterol doesn't actually have much effect on your cholesteral levels and unsaturated fats will raise HDL (high density, or good cholesterol).

Saturated/trans fat is the only thing that will have a negative effect on your cholesterol levels and egg whites are basically pure protein.

Never heard of protien shakes??

A liquid diet is hardly a good alternative to actual food, they're supplements not meals.

Exactly so your damaging the world worse then me and more cruel towards animals...pescetarians are lower on the list of "most damaging" then you meat eaters in terms of animal cruelty/global pollution/oil consumption/water consumption etc etc.

So? Nobody was insulting your choice to be a pescatarian.

However, for someone that thinks eating animals other than fish is cruel there's no denying that buying eggs from battery farmed chickens is a bit odd.

Chicken is amazing, its the one meat I recommend to meat eaters all the time...my mother for example, I tell her to eat loads of chicken but less red meat.

Most of the regulars at my gym, they live off a diet of skinned chicken breast 6-8 times a day. If I did eat meat I would eat chicken 8 times a day as a bodybuilder.

EDIT: To answer the rest of your question...some people dont know this but a lot of people that want to go veggie/vegant use pesceterian as a stepping stone to transition (it makes it easier)...in later life I'm thinking I will go to veggie too.

EDIT 2: Oh and no roids here, am doing it totally clean, dont even take creatine anymore.

SkScotchegg in "why is everyone disagreeing with me" shocker...

For a chap that claims to know about nutrition, it's pretty funny to see that you avoid meat for "health" reasons.

Out of interest, why don't you eat chicken?

dietary cholesterol != blood cholesterol

That much protein in your diet cant be good for you. It puts extra stress on your kidneys.
No it doesn't, not really anyway. You'd only have an issue if you had a pre-existing problem.

Just wow... He's completely missing the very obvious point.

As britboy once heard - "I'm out".

The point is you guys have gone out on about sommat for 4 pages that needn't be said...not quite sure who you think you're.

I think if we were all in same room having this conversation, this conversation would have been over in first 60 seconds yet on forums you get a bunch of idiots who like to start arguments over nothing, attack people and try make themselves look good...just pathetic.
