Really? :confused: mine doesnt

My phone info is as follows:

Android Version 2.3.3
Baseband Version I9100XXKG2
Kernel Version I9100XXKG2

I flashed the intratech KG2 firmware via odin, then kernal via CWM then baseband via odin (and frankly can tell sod all difference from KE7!)

Thinking I may have missed something here!!

Timeout will only if you have a lock set, eg a pattern lock
 
The only rattling with my phone is when people rattle about how amazing it is when they see it :p
 
Even if I hold it to my ear and shake it slightly from side to side I can here something rattling. Hope the replacement one I get tomorrow doesn't have the same fault... If it does it'll have to go back again. :(
 
Anyone else noticed some nice performance increases for gaming with 2.3.4? GLBenchmark went from 40 fps to 59 fps (vsync limited now), Electopia went from 37 fps to 50 fps. Both Opengl ES2.0 benchmarks.

Is that a typo? XXKG1-XXKG3 have all been 2.3.4 based. Might be because you flashed the kernel only, for all of them I've flashed the full package. XXKG3 I even did a complete wipe and repartition with the enclosed .pit file and the phone feels a lot better :confused:

Ahhh that would explain it then - which "full package" did you use?
Guess in my ignorance I thought the kernel would update the phone to 2.3.4 but having thought about it can now see why that was a rather stupid assumption!!:o
 
For XXKG3 I used the package from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182434

Just a heads up, it will wipe your phone so be sure to have a backup. Be sure to flash the PDA, Phone CSC and PIT files, I had no problems doing this with an unbranded unlocked SII on three. After the flash is completed the phone will sit on the splash screen for quite some time, just leave it be and let it work its magic :)

I haven't tried restoring the data from my XXKG2 backup but after the problems I had when moving to XXKG1 I decided to start anew :)
 
My contracts up for renewal next month with 3, theyre offering me the gs2 for £30 a month/24 mnth contract on the one plan. I bit too much me thinks.

02 are even worser, any good deal out with there that include a good mobile internet deal?

I've found this very buggy so far. It seems to have a mind of its own!
 
Can anyone on KE7 check for me what the newest OTA update is? Seems strange mine shows no OTA updates and the Kies (presumably) version is now up to KG2!

Have not been able to get the desktop Kies version working on multiple PCs so have not been able to update to a newer version and I am not keen on using Odin etc (for now).

(My phone is just a "generic" one not locked to any networks etc).

My rom addiction has kicked in again just flashed leomar rom odexed will see how that performs against VR, so far its fast and smooth alongside ninpo kernel undervolted. VR is still my all time favourite rom.
 
ok i've found the battery usage page but not sure what to get from it.

my phone has been charging for past 2 hours from 20% and it's now at only 29% so osmething is up.

thinking about it just got my new zenis dock so maybe that's messing it up. just seems like nothing i can do will charge this thing, all today it's been less then 40% but never ran out.
 
I'm thinking about rooting and flashing a custom ROM, but I'm put off by the wiping of the phone each time there's an upgrade.

Is it as simple as performing a backup of everything and simply restoring that after I've put the new ROM on?
