Dann would be a good addition for our defense if its true but they said that about him awhile ago.

Mata will come to us thats only reason we have a friendly with Valencia...

*Excuse im using in my head to keep hope*

So Hill-Wood is close to calling of the Cesc transfer and says we are in the process of bringing in a couple more. So, keep all our players, gain Gervinho, Jag and Mata. Pretty happy with that although would like another left back.

All apart from Denilson, Bendtner, Clichy and probably Eboue :p Easy to forget though I suppose

I wonder if Wengers stance on Nasri will change if Arsenal manage to keep Csec and maybe bring in Mata....

Mata and Liverpool: Liverpool DID think of him and knew it would cost around 20m euros. But went for Downing. Now not interested

lol! :D I know who I would choose out of them two.

Tell me about it.
One's stepped up to the plate and pretty much carried a team left low on confidence after their top striker was sold to Barca, and did a mighty fine job.

The other looked above average in a team nearly relegated.

.. not happy. Not happy at all.

I meant first teamers, guess i should have mentioned Clichy though to be fair.

One of the problems is that Arsenal always have a heavy injury crisis. As I've said its not missing Verm that cost us, it was the partnership, Jag/Verm would be quality but if either get injuries, and both have gotten entire season killing injuries before, then we're back to square one.

We really need to sell at least one of our no hoper CB's(Squillaci is the most useless/oldest) and bring in a decent 3rd CB, just for rotation, rest and decent quality back up. When Arsenal were rock solid we had 3-4 cb's all significantly better than the ones we played with last year.

What we need is, to REPLACE first teamers from last year, someone better than Theo for right wing, someone WAY better than Song for DM.

From last year, replace any CB with Verm and we needed, a better right back, a better DM, a better right winger.

We've bought a backup striker/left winger, we've gotten seriously worse at left back, and we MIGHT be buying another CB, we might be buying a winger/central midfielder in Mata. He tends to start off left wing but drifts in a lot and gets central a lot. So what Arshavin, Gervinho, Ryo, Nasri and Mata all wanting to play left wing?

Will Wenger drop Theo on the right wing? Doubtful, he loves the kid for some unknown reason.

So Nasri goes, we get Mata and he's the starter, thats great I think thats a HUGE upgrade...... so where does Gervinho play, he doesn't.

You can't just look at the list of players, its who they are and where they fit, for every good move we've made or are supposedly making, we've brought a ridiculous player with little to no chance of starting.

I'd love to get Mata, but it just almost confirms Gervinho as 10ish mil and 3-4mil a year of complete waste. We desparately need a left back now, I don't think we need another winger, we just need Wenger to have the idea to drop Theo, or drop Song and play a 4-4-2 and push another striker in upfront. Mata/Arshavin on the wings sounds great to me, Wilshire and Cesc in the middle would be awesome with RVP/someone else upfront.

Basically as it has done for 6 years, the squad isn't as important as wengers utterly ludicrous starting lineups/formation and substitutions.

Its a case of while any team would want a Tevez, Aguero, RVP, RVN, Hinguain, no team would want THEM ALL, because you can't play them all, so its a complete waste.

Arsenal for 3-4 years have had a truly epic number of strikers playing as wingers, so we've added 3 more(Ryo, Gervinho and possibly Mata) while getting rid of Bendtner..... so the one position we are massively overloaded with backup is the place we've strengthened the most, while DM we don't have a great first team player and absolutely no backup at all.

Arsenal have been changing players on our bench for 6 years while the first team has gotten mostly weaker season on season.

I don't believe that Wenger's stance on Nasri is what we maybe think it is. It is just so out of character to not cash in now.

I bet either there is something going on with the contract or we are waiting to sign someone else before we let him go. I can't believe that he is doing what he is without knowing something.
