****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Still can't get use to the clicky home button on this phone... When I press it, it really just doesn't feel right. Do they need to be wore in or something?

It's a clicky button like on all Android phones with buttons, what's bad about it? Heck even the iPhone button is clicky.

It's just me being over observant but something just doesn't feel right with it, maybe I do just need to get used to it but it seems that if I don't press the button bang in the middle it just presses in weird!

Do you have a slightly misaligned screen protector that's covering part of the button?

I've just took the screen protector off and it's only made a little bit of difference, it's still clicking about as loud as a mouse button and still doesn't feel fully right. The 1st GS2 I had was exactly the same and I sent it back for that reason, the 2nd one I had the button seemed fine on it however the camera was installed upside down on it... Now this is the 3rd device and it pretty much just feels like the 1st one all over again.

I just don't think it's normal for the button to be clicking so loud.

Do some launchers and skins have a better/worse impact on battery life? Go launcher ex is appealing to me right now over the stock one.

I'd also imagine having a black minimalist theme would help the display use less battery than a colouful live screen.

I can hear the click on mine but I wouldn't say it's loud, just audible enough to make me aware it's been pressed. If I were you, I'd pop into a phone shop and press the button on a galaxy S or S2 to compare and see if there's a significant difference.

Yeah this one certainly isn't right then, it really doesn't sound right and is very loud.

I might just give t-mobile a call tomorrow and see what they say and hope they offer me another replacement... I guess it could be possible that they've had a batch of faulty stock?

Thanks

kg2 just didnt work for me, constant radio issues. I found kg3 to be much better in that respect. kg5 is out if you dont mind messing around with a dodgy looking jap leak, but i wouldnt personally lol

I called t-mobile and they told me to go instore to request a repair, the button is still working apart from it being really clicky but I can't be bothered with the hassle of getting it all repaired. Going to just hang on to it and hope I stop noticing it!

Cheers

It depresses quite easily, I'd say it was a bit creaky and clicks louder than it probabaly should considered people are saying there's hardly makes a clicking noise. Is yours the same?

Cheers

If I click the very right hand side of the button, that's when it makes the really loud clicking noise and feels a lot tougher to press in.

Cheers

Is there a way to change the way the predictive text works?

I really liked the way my iPhone had its auto correct and i cant seem to turn this on with my gs2 (not even sure if it has this feature).

Another thing that is annoying me with the texting is that if i put "do" or "to" in the text and press space it will change it to a longer word like '"down" and "took". its very annoying. Is there away to turn this off? I put the slider thingy all the way to never but it still does it :/
