What film did you watch last night?

The Source Code. Was alright. At first i was like WTF is going on... But yea was good 7/10

Eagle Eye - 8/10 Mate of mine told me about this movie so got it off him. Watched it on Firday night. Gotta say i was impressed with it.

Food Inc. It's a docu/film taking a look inside America's corporate controlled food industry. Very interesting but also quite scary as I couldn't help but think that the same thing goes on here albeit on a smaller scale.

Not as sensationalist as say Michael Moore's stuff but entertaining enough to keep me watching. 7/10

Quite a few racked up lately:

The Eagle - slow burner but enjoyable 7/10

Limitless - fast paced popcorn fun 7.5/10

Drive Angry - so crap it's fun to watch 6/10

The Adjustment Bureau - of those 4 rentals probably enjoyed it the most, even if the premise was a bit corny 8/10

And at the cinema:

Captain America: The First Avenger - found it really good - more enjoyable than Thor actually. Really looking forward to The Avengers movie next year. 8.5/10

Lake Placid - 9/10

I swear this film gets funnier and funnier every time I watch it. Pity David E. Kelly isn't writing anything decent any more, and that solid comedy/horror genre seems to have died out.

California man? 4/10

pretty average to terrible. But i tried to watch it all just incase there were any redeeming features. there were not.

Still better than Mega Piranha 1/10. I dont even know what class of 'film' this is but it was truly awful.

Goodfellas 8/10. Timeless classic if a bit long.

I watched Tron this evening. It was heavy going. It was released in 1982, so it's as old as me. I'm sure the effects were amazingly impressive back in the day, and that it brought us forward leaps and bounds, but honestly, it just looks so crap.

Ghost: blu ray, ghost writer takes on the writing of the memoirs of a former prime minister after original ghost writer dies in mysterious circumstances, pretty good political espionage thriller, quite tense at times with a few twists and turns along the way, Ewan Macgregor and Pierce Brosnan.

22 Bullets: blu ray. French Mafia film starring Jean Reno, almost the French version of the Godfather..... well not quite, but feuding families and old scores to settle with cops seemingly incapable of controlling matters, it's all there. Reno gives a great performance as always. Very nice video quality, muted colours and with a realistic, grittiness to the picture but very sharp with lots of depth of field.

Both good movies and worth a watch imo.

It's great getting back to some movie viewing, my Sony SXRD rptv has been offline for a few months due to an optical block fault and difficulty in getting hold of replacement parts, looking good as new again now though, consequently there is quite a few movies I need to catch up on.;)

Space Battleship Yamato

the newer live action version.....gotta say that i enjoyed it very much, however i am not a massive fan of subtitles, only because i tend to miss parts of the film when the subs are on.

That said some of the special effects were great, and the storyline was easily followable.

7/10

Point Break - 9.11/10 - Quality film and only knew about it from Hot Fuzz. Keano at his best, continued single facial expression throughout!!!

Hanna - 6/10 - It was ok, just quite random and felt quite like run lola run.

I am number 4 - 6/10 - Same again, just ok. Some good action but felt a little 'Twilight depressing'

Star Trek Nemesis - 8/10 - Haven't seen this film in years, shame they didn't continue these films as the cast worked so well together. My favourite of the 'Next Generation' flicks.

Leon, the extended cut on BluRay. One of my favorite films ever but never got round to watching the extended cut. Not keen on the extr abits at all, the relationship between Leon and Matilda was uncomftable at times as it was. In this version its borderline pedophilia.

Not last night but a few nights ago I watched Rango (blu-ray). It has to be the best animated film I've ever seen. The animation and detail is second to none and I enjoyed all the references towards other films that it drops during the course of it. I would highly recommend anyone watches it if you haven't done so already.
