Definitely, SAF is always really guarded on transfer talk so the notion that he would speak so openly about Berbatov is nonsense, especially to a random French TV reporter that barely spoke English.

So given how much www press has been published already (possibly a lot of actual paper press also) - why hasnt SAF already come out and stated as such

Sorry I dont buy it (of course SAF is guarded about buying players, thats only natural - but trying to sell a player......it suits him and the club to sell Berba now just as much as keep him (esp if Utd can get £20m for him)

I think every Utd fan can agree - Utd definitely need to drastically improve their away performances :)

What's he meant to say - "Sorry lads, I didn't understand that French bint last night, nothing to see here"?

And as for selling players, it does not benefit United in the slightest to announce a player is available for sale, which is why Gill has spoken recently about United's option to extend Berbatov's contract.

I have very rarely seen a manger actively whore out a player. If they are going to allow them to leave then they will be cryptic or dismissive. A players value will never increase as a result of a manager saying that he wants rid of him.

Well it's not like Fergie has been sat on his arse since last nights game, he's travelled to Holland today to manage VDS' All Stars for tonights game. I'm sure his comments will be clarified sooner or later if Fergie feels he needs to clarify them

Exactly that yes (if there was genuine misunderstanding )

Apart from potentially driving any transfer fee upwards......no I guess not lol

Managers / Cheif Execs do it alllllllll the time, I cant believe you actually think otherwise

Im sure you know as well as I do how much of a cop out that sounds. It could be " a utd spokesman", it could be Gill (baxk in Manchester), or even just a release on teh Utd webpage - (and come on even when SAF is travelling he will know immediately how things are being reported what he has said )

He is an expert at "playing" the media - I dont think anyone can question that

Well this Enrique story still seems to be creeping up, I cant see anything happening till Jova has officially gone and maybe one extra person till we bring him in as im sure it was said we have to off load now to bring more in.

Enrique would be a good left back to have used to prem and will fix a problem area of ours!

The Ade---Lennon swap deal is gaining momentum apparently.

I really hope not because Lennon is not better than what we already have and will bring nothing to the team. Hopefully we can just get money for Ade.

Cant see why City would take Lennon, he is hardly better than what they already have, plus it would leave Spurs with either Pienaar or David Bently playing right midfield, less said the better really.

He's a better right winger than both SWP and Milner TBH.
lol.
We dont play with wingers anyways, as seen last year when Adam Johnson sparsely played.

This year it is going to be a very narrow formation. Something like 4-2-3-1 is looking likely.
Wasn't Ade quoted as saying wanted to stay at Madrid or go back? Not that Madrid need him anyway
Well he keeps saying this but has made little to no effort to make it happen it seems.

Ade would have to be happy to take a HUGE paycut if he was to come to Spurs, which I doubt he will. Unless it is a loan and City pay half his wages as with Bellamy. There are not many clubs rich enough to pay his current wages, and with the exception of Malaga would he even be wanted my such clubs with massive funds?

After it beginning to look as if Cole might end up staying with us, reports of a possible move to QPR are starting to pick up pace. If we can get both Cole and Jova of the wage bill, it will go a long way to paying the wages of all 4 of our new signings.

Looks like Fulham's bid for Jerome was £2-3m and Jol isn't going any higher, apparently - I'd possibly pay upto £4m, especially for a youngish backup to Zamora.

Am I the only one who gets cheesed off with Mark Lawrenson?

I've not even read the article, but you can probably be sure its just another article droning on about how good Liverpool are.

I hate the fact that they have a pundit/journalist who is so openly biased towards his former club.

This isn't a dig at Liverpool so to speak, as I'd probably be the same if they had Tony Adams or some other twollop writing fantastical nonsense every other week. Why don't they hire real journalists and get some real stories?
