Anyways, back to what's actually happening.
I'm not far from Tottenham, had no idea this was going on, could have been good to go down and get some photos.

I was going to pop down (about 25 minutes on the train) to take some photos but then I heard reports of people with professional cameras being targeted and decided against it.

Those are some newspaper headline photos right there.
I'd have been on the phone first before uploading them to Flickr!

They're not mine. :)

What I meant was that if arrests could be made without any violence, then fair enough.

However if gangs start opening fire, then police shouldn't be restrained either.
Of course they should defend themselves, but people must not be shot unless they are shooting or there is significant reason to believe they are about to shoot. You can get in to all kinds of terrible situations if people start getting gung-ho with guns.
Yeah it would. They have no worth to society, ABSOLUTELY none. They don't commit crime because of poverty, they commit it because they can and its cool, and they can because of pathetic dweebs like you.

Kill every single gang member, or put them in prison (not one with Sky Sports), means a better society for all.
You are a very sad and angry idiot.

Put criminals in prison, what an odd notion ;) :)

The principle. You might like riding over it, I don't. Flicking **** all over my wheel arches and wedged in the tyre tread, no thanks.

It's not that rare for me, I live near to a police station and a few mile away from the HQ with a stables.

Perhaps keep your car in a garage if you are worried about getting it dirty? ;)

No not really. It is unfortunate that the very things that create a stable society seem to be ignored by people like you.

YEAH VIOLENT GANG MEMBERS HAVE CIVIL RIGHTS WOOHOOO

If I work with the dog unit, I have to clean up the mess.

If they take out their horses, they get to crap all over the road.

Can my officers with the dog teams get on with the job protecting the revenue and country and forget about their mess too? Nope.

I'm saying they should stop littering and making a mess with no regard to it afterwards.

Poster/subject combo is lush :)

Don't be daft, but the notion that you don't deal with crime because you may upset people is an utterly ridiculous point of view.

The student riots, we saw snatch squads arresting people.

Tonight, we are not seeing that. Angry Muslims with placards calling for the death of the infidel, the Police video the events and make the arrests of camera.

I assume this is culturally sensitive policing.

You are ridiculing a guy calling for a cautious approach to avoid bloodshed, and he's right given previous instances.

What would you rather, the army shooting at them?

The police will be assessing the best way to contain, burn out, then arrest. They normally try to refrain from turning it into a medieval battle field in the first instance these days.

The last thing we want is a massive shoot up on our streets.

Shoot up, these guys cant do a days work let alone fire a gun at a moving target, some guy tried that and got shot in the head twice by trained marksmen, I think a lot of the people think they are hard but they are nothing more than idiots with a gun that think they can dance, lulzville.

Time the government got tough - most of these people are scum, a drain on society and my taxes and all the immigrants should be sent back to their countries.

Goodnight - I'm off to watch Jeremy Kyle, which I recorded on Sky+ ;)

Figured they weren't yours.

But yeah you are right, the guy being interviewed on BBC right now has just reiterated that they turned on anyone with a camera!

There seems to be a lot of skipping over the fact right now that there was likely a genuine protest from locals, but once again it's a protest that has been hijacked by young anarchists who want a fight and to cause as much trouble and damage as possible.

The same one as you. The police actually take the approach I am describing, and I guess they are in a better position to take that decision having done more research in to the topic than you?

If only you knew....I do happen to know a little on this subject..;)

You actually want a firefight and mass bloodshed in the capital? The last thing the country needs is some sort of societal war.
