Riots breaking out in Brixton now apparently acc to Twitter
The softly softly approach of the Police is working then I see.

Well you've had three people point it out, so if you've not figured it out yet I think we can all safely assume that, unsurprisingly, you know nothing of what you claim. How so?
The last thing we want is a massive shoot up on our streets. The very last thing. It's all well and good to sit behind a computer screen going "I'd authorise full force", but you're commanding people to kill people. It's the worst case scenario imaginable and should be the absolute last resort, used only when it's likely that not using immediate lethal force is the more dangerous option.
The best outcome possible is a neutering of the riots with as little force as possible. The best way to stop all-out warfare against the police is for the police not to be reactionary, and instead act as an almost non-violet blocking force. If the police use violence it just fuels the rioters and gives them reason and drive to do even worse in revenge.
What planet are you living on?
The same one as you. The police actually take the approach I am describing, and I guess they are in a better position to take that decision having done more research in to the topic than you?
You are implying that my claims that we don't want a massive shoot up, that people getting shot is the worst case imaginable, and the best outcome is as little force used as possible are somehow wrong, and this is because you know lots about the subject. If only you knew....I do happen to know a little on this subject..![]()
I dont want it and I know it wont happen, this is not Hamas vs Israel, this a bunch of losers going up against the powers that be and they have more money and weapons than you can image and all for some guy that was respected by the community that was carrying a gun.
I mean I have been riding in taxi for years and never been shot at by the police, crazy I know.
So I am watching the BBC news coverage of this and wondering why they keep saying "A young man was shot by police on Thursday"? Surely it is reporting like this that has led to these riots. If it was being reported as it happened "Gang Member/Leader shot a police officer and was swiftly brought down by police" then surely people would be less up in arms?

Running in killing them all is not without consequence and eventually, with social commentary like in here, it could potentially start to leak out further than the criminal fraternity. It could lead to ill aimed recriminations and more social or racial issues.
If you don't want violence, why did you say shoot them a few posts ago then?
