Bebe (probably won't come back)
O'Shea
Brown
Obertan
Gibson?

All the weak links gone from last season and now added pretty much new players for free (clev, wel, mach, diouf).

Going to be a good season.... then again, our best player from last season is gone and replaced by a questionable De Gea.

Questionable? I thought he was proven. i did say he was risky and that as man utd we don't need to buy such a young prospect keeper when we can simply buy an established one.

we are going to have to baby sit him for the next two years and live with the ensuing mistakes. Then after 3-5 years he'll probably want to go backto spain - so in effect we will just have groomed a young keeper and blown so much money and effort, and for nothing. i hope to be proven wrong but based so far off one game, we have not signed a player with the calibre to help us win the big cup despite throwing 20 mill at the problem.

So it sound like Arsenal are caving on Nasri to City, and looking increasingly retarded/pathetic/toothless in the process having made a huge deal about begging Nasri to stay and refusing to sell..... which at every single stage was a truly moronic stance to take. It was obvious to anyone who isn't blind that Nasri wasn't going to sign a new contract, we could have come out smelling of roses, taken the money, pointed out he'd been crap, laugh at City, and bring in a better replacement.

Instead we made Arsenal look desparate, because Wenger is desparate, it couldn't be any more clear what a lack of idea's Wenger has.

Instead of getting Mata as a replacement, we've spent similar money on a winger from Southampton, who hasn't ever played even close to premiership levels, and Southampton fans seem to be laughing at Arsenal aswell, for buying the wrong player for WAY too much money.

Gervinho might prove to be awesome, he might be rubbish, he wasn't what we needed. Arshavin is awesome, but he's still not really a winger, and at the time he wasn't remotely what we needed.

We're looking almost certain to lose, Cesc, Nasri, Bendtner, Clichy, Eboue, who are all either more than good enough for some first team games and very decent backup, or great first team options, and we've brought in, a winger for the future, a right back, for the future, and a semi proven striker, to play him as a winger.

Wenger has been a joke for 6 years now, making the wrong choices on who to bring in, and who to get rid of and this season he seems to be absolutely demolishing the side, replacing some of our best players, with either MUCH worse quality, or simply not replacing at all.

When we were desparate for a defender/keeper a couple years ago, we bought Arshavin, then we finally bought in a couple CB's several years too late, and he buys Squillaci............

But i said that before seeing any games. Unlike everyone else who claimed he was the best keeper since casillas and that the u20 world cup was big experience.

The thoughts about his duration here or the need for us to train him dont change if he has played 1 or even 10 games, that's just my belief.

I half hoped for penalties as the keeper can really only be a winner there maybe save one and give him confidence but wonder Nani scuppered that.

so now you are going so low as to blame a team mate for winning the game and not putting the new gk under pressure (with pens) - that must be an altime low, even for you!!

Sounds like Neuer had a howler on his debut for Bayern also.(and he didnt even change leagues) .....must be a bug going around for debutant gks :D

Dont count your chickens and all that (but keep your fingers crossed as I am some club completes a deal for him) :)

Also dont expect much from Macheda and Diouf (even if they get reasonable match time, which imo is questionable enough at this point) I cant see the latter getting anything more than the occasional CC outing and maybe a few subs if he is lucky elsewhere.....I guess it depends on how training goes week by week (and injuries of course)

Just out of interest what proven goalkeeper should Man Utd have gone for? Are there any goalkeepers proven in the Premier League who would have been available? Particularly any who would be a) an improvement and b) last more than a couple of years?

How much can you extrapolate from one game? I wasn't watching the match but from the reports it sounded like he made a couple of slightly dodgy decisions but improved as the game wore on.

Brad fridel? Martin skelenburg? To name just 2 options who would a, vastly cheaper, b, more experienced. could you not think of these yourself in your attempt to make out that over that last 12 months we couldn't identify a.n.other keeper apart from de gea?

Neuer looked good at shot stopping but got 5 holed at least twice by us so i was dubious. he has the pressure of being hated by the bayern ultras too.

Frankjh i don't really understand your attack here either. im stating that before we scored i wanted penalties so de geared an instant chance to reprieve himself, build his confidence give him a chance to be hero. but subsequently the hated Nani did the business and that wasn't required.

dont know if you saw but we as a team did better second half. de gea made 2 saves mostly right at him so im not sure what part of the second half saw de gea step up from the first?he claimed a good corner, i already credit him for this.

YOU CAN'T EVEN SPELL HIS NAME CORRECTLY.

David De Gea

****

Do you even realise you sound like a butt hurt 5 year old? I spelt it correctly multiple times. How about you disagree with.my comments rather than the spelling? Oh that's right you cant because i have been quite factual, it's just that you cannot handle the truth ?

What truth? Stop dribbling please.

Boro look set to retain Arca on a much lower wage, good move if that works out for both. Mowbray wants the team to play the football that suits Arca. Hopefully, it looks like we should tie Williams down to a new contract too.

Main concern at the minute is Matthew Bates, only 1 year left on contract and Swansea sniffing around.

SkySports reporting we're about to sign Faris Haroun (Belgian International) on a free, anyone know anything about him?
