Riots in Tottenham, London! (NO RACIST COMMENTS)

I read a post on BBC news from an annon policeman. He said he doesn't like that people are calling for rubber bullets. He said he would refuse to use them because they can be deadly. In this situation it is highly likely a fatality would occur and in that event he knows the media, the public, the judicial system and his seniors would provide no support for him whatsoever.

Yes I understand his concern. The police are given strong powers but they are simultaneously given such strict rules that it is impossible to employ those powers effectively.

You found one kid! BRAVO! Would you like me to post the hundreds of other images of adults commiting these crimes now then?

Why ? He is right

I think that the moderators would view it as an inflammatory racist remark, even though there may be some element of truth to it.

Things like that don't really need to be said.

"My area, X, wont have any riots because there aren't any ethnic minorities."

The kid running out of Sainsbury's with the bottle of wine reminds me of the kid in This Is England. Although I suppose he won't renounce his ways and will always be a little toerag. Why is there lots of bystanders just watching? Are they afraid of knocking someone down and performing a citizen's arrest? (saw an animated gif earlier on of someone knocking down a bloke trying to smash in a shop window, although that could have been in Canada)

I'd be scared, because the scum tend to like carrying knives and wouldn't hesitate to stab you, assault you or kill you for very little reason.

They were throwing bricks in the faces of police, indiscriminately torching buildings, cars and peoples homes.

You think they're going to respectfully concede to a citizen?

No, it doesn't. As always, the situation is a little more complicated than can be summed up in a single cause or phrase, but the fact remains that the vast majority of people involved were young and from poor backgrounds. I also doubt idiot former teacher Alexis Bailey would have looted had the riots not been going on.

Ageist!!!!!!

He wouldn't have a leg to stand on, he would be demonised/victimised/incarcerated and left out to hang and dry.

You asked for evidence of kids, I gave it to you. Don't roll your eyes at me for giving you what you asked for.
What about the group of kids interviewed on Sky last night saying that they were there for fun and to make money?
What about the young blokes robbing the bleeding oriental chap?
What about the girls on the BBC saying that this was Cameron's, or whoever's in charge, fault?
What about the 16 year old arrested by Strathclyde Police for trying to start a riot in Glasgow?
There is plenty of evidence to show that young people are involved in this. It's not all youth, it's not all adults. There seems to be a cross section of society and it's sickening.
Perhaps the reason that Manchester Police arrested so many more adults than juveniles last night was because a 14 year old can run faster than a 44 year old...

I am sure I will be shot down in flames because the link is to the Daily Mail.

They are some white people there but what do you expect in areas with large amounts of black people there?

Look at Salford there were a lot of white people in those disturbances.

They're all the same worthless scum in my eyes.

He was just holding the door open.

They trained him well? :o
