Impossible to know isn't it, Wenger's a complete idiot. Cesc was young but basically got in the team and never left, Theo joined and barely played for a couple years, now he's first team whenever fit no matter if he's playing like absolute crap.

Ryo seems, I haven't seen enough to say he's just about at Wilshire level, as in more than good enough to play first team games and have his chance, but theres been hints he's approaching that level in terms of being ready for first team.

But the question is, will Wenger play him and never drop him, or will he, like Vela, see he's brilliant in preseason and give him 3 games a season in the cup. Theres seemingly absolutely no logic in the way Wenger chooses these things, there was no reason Wilshire wasn't starting a full year before he eventually did, no reason Traore should still wear an Arsenal shirt.

Basically he could be brilliant the few times we see him and Wenger won't give him a real chance, or he could be crap, and start 38 games for us this year.

Ok any less of a bitter response? lol

The thing is about selection is that we don't know what happens behind the scenes. It is easy to pick fault without all the information. Unless you know something we don't.

I even get carried away with the lack of buying but if you think about it then there is a lot more to do than a Football Manager buying system. Here is £20m ---- ok here is the player. Deal done.

Man City are set to raid Everton - link

Manchester City have responded to the loss of the Community Shield by launching a huge transfer raid on North West rivals Everton.

Speaking earlier today, Everton manager David Moyes confirmed that his club had received a substantial offer from City but that nothing had been agreed: “I can confirm that Manchester City have bid £30 million for the 6 points that we take off them every season and our Board are considering the offer.” “I don’t like this kind of thing but I have to think about the financial future of the club and this might actually allow me to bring in some new players, the only thing I would say is that if Edin dzeko is worth £27 million then surely a guarenteed 6 points must be worth £50 million plus?” concluded Moyes.

City’s move comes on the back of 4 straight defeats to their North West Neighbours and many within Eastlands believe that it is the only way they would ever take anything from this fixture. “If we’d have known that signing Joleon Lescott was going to cost us 6 points every season we’d never have bothered.” Said City Chief Exec Garry Cooke, “if it makes things any easier they can have him back plus the £30 million.”

“We can’t miss out on the title for the sake of these points and I just hope we can do a deal before the end of the month.”

The FA issued a statement that said as long as both Clubs agreed prior to the end of the transfer deadline there was nothing that could be done to prevent the transfer.

I thought he had been shipped out. Who was it they let go for about £2m?

It was a loan deal but there was a non-confirmed buying option on it that was speculated about - never said yes or no about from our end.

The kid I think has raw speed, strength and ball skills but we might have caught him too late to develop him into a player of our standard, we will see how he comes along.

Here's the rough translation that was on Caf, by the way.

Besiktas, it adds to England's Manchester United team for hire and the Portuguese football squad will be announced Bebe'nin 6 months out of action.

Hope Portugal National Team, played in Slovakia with an injured leg Bebe'nin preparation, taken as a result of MR on the left knee anterior cruciate ligament tear is detected and reported to find the fields to return to 6 months.

Besiktas Club Doctor of emphasis but the Revolution, had met with Portugal's National Team doctors said,''was found in the anterior cruciate ligament tears have reported to us. Players have to have surgery is required. He played for the club, Manchester United officials have also contacted for rent. Joint decision about where the operation will be done,''he said.

I honestly have no idea what you're trying to say, bitter?

I'm merely saying that being the best player in a position, under Wenger these days, in no way means you'll play. Chamakh, first team till Jan, then we barely saw him get a single game from then on, we won more with him in the team than not. Wenger will happily bench someone and barely ever call on them again, out of the blue, because someone else is fit.

Vela has always looked excellent when he's played, Wenger just won't play him, Ryo in terms of a winger, looks to be the only natural winger at the club, I'd think he'd at least get a chance this year, but its Wenger, so I have no idea if he'll get a chance at all.

He'll drop form players, for his favourite players, I don't know an Arsenal fan who hasn't come to that conclusion by now. He'll happily rely on bendtner, or Chamakh, when other people are injured, and no matter how well they played, both were EXCELLENT when RVP was injured, its not that RVP comes back and plays most of the games, its that RVP or Theo came back and we didn't see them AT ALL.

A sensible manager would have protected RVP, and theo more, and played the inform Bendtner and Chamakh still, but that didn't happen, Chamakh went from first team to fully fit, barely even getting on as a substitute.

Like I said, Ryo could be poor but Wenger decides he likes him and starts him every game, or he could be excellent score a hattrick in his one appearance, and never be seen again. Theres zero logic with how Wenger deals with these things.

Assuming we're giving Vela 40k a week, why, he won't play him, he just about plays in preseason, whats the point. Arshavin was brilliant, then randomly got dropped and was barely getting starts towards the end of the season.

This was while Nasri had lost all form, was being started, was being started in a position that we couldn't win games with him there, and Wenger just stuck with it despite it clearly not working.

Ryo has looked as good on the wing for us, as any other top winger at any other top club, he's our only winger, he's our only player close to a winger, tricky, pace, can "do" people on the wing, cross, pass, movement, he looks superb. But I'm honestly saying I have no idea if Wenger will even give him a game in the prem this year. Any other manager I have no doubt he'd get a chance this season, Wenger, I haven't a clue.

Jet looked mobile, strong, good finishing, great movement, good passing, good link up in preseason last year, Wenger didn't even give him a hint of a try. Fergie gave most of his players a "chance" last year, most had a bunch of chances, with Arsenal, half our players don't get a chance at all.
