Another vote for rats, great pets and very intelligent.
Your penis?
Although I wouldn't advise showing people your pet in public. You may get a restraining order.

Don't get a Chinchilla unless you are willing to commit to them long term, these little guys/girls can live well past twenty years old and its cruel to get rid of them just because the cuteness has warn off! If you do get one never buy from a pet shop, get one from a local well established breeder, not only will the chinchilla be cheaper but a lot healthier. I wont get started on possible dental vet bills!
Local pet shop has a 24 hour guaratnee on gold fish.Get some goldfish...cheap and easy to take care of.![]()
Respect to you for taking on rescued chinchillas, I'd be against a beginner doing so but an experienced owner not a problem. I lost a Chinchilla not so long ago to malocclusion very heart breaking and he was from a hobby breeder, live and learn I guess.Seconded, although all of ours came from rescues. Due to the number of people who get them without being aware of their lifespan there are plenty available for rescue and I'd rather rehome than support someone who is breeding for profit.
