Pretty much, to be honest at the beginning of summer I hoped we'd ditch Nasri and for a moment was ecstatic when I heard City were offering 15mil+, then four seconds later I remembered, despite being crap for 6 months, he was one of Wenger's "golden boys" and he'd make a meal of trying to get him to stay like Adebayor.
I pretty much took the stance of every possible negative I could think of, as it could only get better from there, Nasri transfer being screwed up, Fabregas going, trying to get in replacements on August 31st again, not getting a CB in early to change our defence in preseason, losing CLichy, losing Bendtner and Eboue, buying 58 new strikers to play as wingers for no apparent reason.
The only positive thing I didn't count on was Denilson actually being somewhat shipped out, I honestly thought we'd get "some" things more right than the worst case scenario.
Utd have done everything right, they found the targets they wanted, they got them early, they've been there all/most of preseason, they are FAR closer to being intergrated in the team than the 4-5 players Arsenal still haven't bought yet. They sent out a message of, we're improving and we were already ahead, come and get us. Liverpool have tried to improve, Chelsea have, Arsenal have pretty much gone backwards, screwed everything, made a point of proving how toothless they are, chosen the wrong battles to make a stand in, lost key players, brought in the wrong people.
Just about everyone is laughing at Arsenal at the moment.
Even if tomorrow Mata, Dann(seriously?), Cahill , Baines were signed, thats really getting back to where we were in team strength, not dramatic improvements, but none will be ready for the first game of the season or the CL, none will be used to the team. How many points will we drop trying to intergrate them into the team.
