I'd imagine they'll be your first team if Wenger doesn't spend the Csec/Nasri money and you crash out of the Champions League to Udinese![]()

Shut up.

have read this morning that Robbie Keane could be on his way to Wolves on loan, no idea if short term or long term, but to cover for Doyle who is injured.
Hitzlsperger also to sign shortly on a free?
Levy has already turned down loan offers because he wants to sell.
Nah, here's my take on the events;
We tried to get him signed before the USA tour, couldn't agree a deal hence Fergie coming out with the non-conclusive quotes such as there's no real interest and Gill's all deals are dead but that could change when we get back to Carrington
We get back to Carrington and talks resume and again we fail to agree a deal hence the unofficial statement leaked to the press last night.
Who knows if this is the deal dead once and for all or simply the club's message to Sneijder to drop his wage demands or the deal he is clearly longing for is off.
I suspect we'll know a lot more following Fergie's press conference at 12pm, if he refused to talk about it then there's still something happening. If he finally gives a conclusive answer on it then we can get on with looking forward to seeing what Anderson and Cleverley can do this season.
Every player gets "better" when they move away from the North East. The press tend to ignore players/clubs up here unless there is some story to stick the boot in against them or a player is leaving to go somewhere else "better"
By tomorrow Enrique will have won the last world cup for Spain despite not playing and will be the best left back in the country![]()
LOL Xisco who spent part of last season at Deportivo has gone back there on a season long loan. Aint it about time Newcastle just gave up on him and let him walk for free, no one is ever going to give them money for him.
totally understand where you are coming from (and why you want to remain hopeful) - but to be fair SAF has been pretty conclusive all along, its only Gill that has muddied the waters......
Didn't they spend somewhere in the region of 5.7m on him???
Don't think Newcastle are that desperate (yet) to ditch him on a free....
As for me remaining hopeful I'm not really fussed tbh, if he comes then great if he doesn't we've still got enough to the win the Premership and as that's the bread and butter so I'm content enough with that. Even with Sneijder in the team we'd still get tonked by Barca so he's not the be all and end all.
SAF hasn't been conclusive at all, if there's no interest in a player you say there's no interest in the player. You dont say there's no real interest in a player. You dont have a go at a journo because they put quotes about him being given a take it or leave it offer if there's nothing to the story.

I'd like to think something could be done tactically that meant we could beat Barca if we face them but I really don't think there is. Not without relying heavily on luck, anyway.
Enrique is a good player but he seems to have improved a lot in the last 24hrs.
I saw this morning in a Liverpool paper that he apparently set up a lot of Carroll's goals at Newcastle. This is news to me, certainly.
Dunno how much they spent on him but he's been at the club for what 5 years now? I'd wager he's spent most of that on loan to other clubs or playing in the reserves rather than being in and around the first team
