Finally the Fabregas saga is over....5yr contract signed for Barca...200 euro million to buy him out...something we should have done looking back lol....definitely going to miss him and his influence on Arsenal.

Now Eboue is being rumoured to leave for galatasaray...no big loss if he goes...never rated him all that much tbh....Now sell Nasri and start spending some money Wenger!!!!!

Don't think he knows how to spend. If he went on dale's supermarket sweep his trolly would be full of asda savers stuff...for kids.:D

I wonder how much more expensive targets are going to be now that clubs know that arsenal have £30mil burning a hole in the pocket

Lol he spends like a jew lol:eek:...sorry for any offence caused by my comments:p

God knows who we will sign now :(...we were linked with quite a few players but nothing came of it :(...utterly stupid and ridiculous...did the same last yr too...left it too late.

This season is going to be a very very tough one for us i fear...our chances of getting a top 4 finish gets worse and worse...

When you think back only a few years ago (2008) you had the likes of Ronaldo, Fabregas, Drogba, Berbatov (for Spurs), Torres (for Liverpool), Lampard & Gerrard all in great form, all scoring on average 20 goals a season and now if they haven't gone to Spain their legs have gone and they're a shadow of their former self. The quality of the Premiership has gone way down :/

Now the 'stars' in the league are Rooney, Aguero, Suarez, Nani, Bale, Wilshire not quite up to the same standard is it

Finaly 1 thats not shopped:p

I'm happy for him and he was a great servant for the club, plus I really like his attitude and hopefully he'll do a conference for the Arsenal fans and tell us everything he wants to. I've got no problems with selling him even though I'm gutted and it's a massive loss for the club it was always going to happen. It's hard for Wenger to decide what to do now, he said we are short of players when yesterday he said we have too many players so I'm not quite sure he even knows himself.

Fabregas said it best earlier when he mentioned that Arsenal have lost our best players in the past and got on with it, we'll have to do it again and I think we can, we looked good on Saturday, lacked the killer instinct but created a huge amount of chances and stopped Newcastle from creating virtually anything and considering we were away from home too I think that's not bad.

Nasri not happy about a song the Arsenal fans sung about him at the weekend;

Nanas08 Samir Nasri Official
I heard what the fans were singing about me on saturday and it is really disrespectful because i'm still a arsenal player

To quote a tweet, my sadness about Cesc's departure makes my apathy towards Nasri all the more clear. I'm sure he won't be so grateful for his time at the club as Fabregas when it's him doing a press conference in a new shirt.

Yup that's the difference between personalities. Fabregas admitted that without Wenger he wouldn't be where he is today, living his dream and that he owes so much to Wenger and Arsenal. Nasri is a nasty little **** with absolutely no loyalty or gratitude whatsoever. He'd fit in well at Middle Eastlands.

Didn't know DM could sing that loud to be honest

:D

Lol what?

Arsenal didnt even sing one song and if they did, it was hard to hear as we pretty much drowned them out. We even start to sing "you only sing when your looting" as it was that quiet!

He must have been in the away section with them :D

Arsenal have got on with it when we've lost quality players in the past because mostly they've been instantly replaced with quality, and the team was stuffed full of other quality players anyway.

How well have Arsenal coped with losing Henry, we didn't, haven't won anything since, what about Gilberto, or well, a whole host of other players recently.

We got rid of Overmars, and brought in Pires, lost Petit and got..... can't remember :p We lost, we replaced. For 6 years we've rarely if ever lost a player and replaced him with a better player. Overmars, Pires, Freddie, Wiltord, Reyes, to Hleb(so bad Brum won't play him), Theo, Nasri, Bendtner, Eduardo, Vela. The later three are actually good but not wingers and don't get played.

Sol, Keown, Adams, Toure, Gallas, to Djourou, Kos, Squillaci. Lauren, Dixon, Eboue, Winterburn, Ashley cole, Clichy, to Traore, Sagna, Gibbs. Edu, Vieira, Petit, Gilberto, Flamini to Song, Diaby, Denilson, Eastmond, Frimpong.

I've been complaining for 6 years, because for 6 years we've had a steady decline in quality with one fluke purchase of Cesc making up for a massive amount of that decline in quality. Arsenal fans and the manager have been kidding themselves with this nice football rubbish, we were so much better before, we try and play the same style, but no where near as good. The squad of 6-7 years ago would thrash our current team pathetically easily, it would be a no contest.

Honestly I think Wilshire maybe, Cesc and possibly RVP are the only players who would get in our old team and only Cesc would be certain of being first team.

Declared himself for Ghana, he wasn't in the squad for the canceled game at Watford last week, but I believe he did get a late call up but the club say he couldn't go. What with Essien out and possibly not fit, it's entirely possibly he could get called up..
I was more  at the fact that we'd lose both Frimpong AND Song during that period. So basically be without a defensive mid.

Not cool.
