any way to stop the phone from remembering search history? i can clear it but can't stop it from remembering it which is a bit embarrassing when you search for something in a stupid film and someone picks it up and sees it :o

Yes, something in a stupid film ;)

[EDIT]Do you mean the Search app? If I go into the app and hit menu then click "Google Search" there's an option to turn off "Search History", not sure if that will help you?

Having difficulty searching the thread on my s2 (oh if we could use tapatalk!) so I'll just ask a quick question.

Is there anyway to take a screen grab on the s2 without rooting etc?

Cheers :)

Press and hold the menu and power button at the same time for about 1-2 secs. You should get an onscreen prompt saying "screen capture saved" or something like that.

For best results hold down the Menu button a fraction earlier than then power button. Output should show in the Gallery application in it's own stack/folder.

because judging by the insane amount of "button clicking" posts you made you are clearly clinically insane.

Just ****** me off I managed to scratch the button of a brand new phone. -_-

Battery life seems to drop to about 50% within 8 hours, how do I colab the battery?

Cheers

Just bought one of these £99

400 minutes, 1000 texts and 1GB internet for £30/month 12mth contract with talkmobile (vodafone)

£459 for the phone together with the contract.

Went for the same deal. Hope you remembered quidco;)

Have you received it yet? Can you confirm what firmware is on it as stock? Guessing its the samsung stock one, no provider bloatware?

Also how come the i9000 has 2.3.4 officially but the i9100 still uses 2.3.3?

This is a question I often ask myself also!

So far as I can gather from reading posts on forms such as XDA-Developers, Samsung have released some official firmware versions of 2.3.4 for the i9100 (Galaxy S2), but just not in the UK yet.

I am hoping to get one of these phones later this week, and will probably use Odin to flash the latest 'official' version I can find.
