That happened a couple of weeks a go. Still just think, RvP and Chamakh up front, Walcott on the right and Gervinho on the left, Ramsey and Wilshere in the middle. Not that bad is it. :D

Only officially announced today. There's no strength in depth though in the squad.

So of a squad of 30 players, 3 are still likely to leave, 1 won't get a Work Permit, 7 haven't even played at this level! 19 players left, 2 of which are made of a glass substance and break easily!

While I understand the desire to blood young players and grow them into a first team, the whole idea becomes pointless if they just end up leaving, so the average age of the squad never hits that 25-28 mark. After the CL final we started this whole 'get the kids in' thing... it's 2011 and it feels like we're starting it all over again.

hmmmmm guys calm down, its not as if arsenal were ever going to win anything anyway, they are basically aiming for 4th place now, they will honestly struggle to get it, i think liverpool have a better squad.

Herp derp. If some of the right buying and tweaking that fans were screaming for had been done last summer then it's entirely possible the team would have won something. That success could have really given them the boost they needed, the belief, to get better and better. Instead we bought players like Squillaci and suffered the usual Spring collapse, with the players looking destroyed for most of the remaining games, lacking belief, and carrying on that form into pre-season, hence the pessimism already from most fans and why half the team seems to be leaving.

Man, waiting for DMs next post is like waiting on transfer news. Eboue gone! Say it ain't so DM, say it ain't so!

This couldn't have been a worse summer for DM, it's almost tragic.

Fabregas and Nasri deals left till the arse end of the window.
Eboue sold.
Vela loaned.
Bendtner told to find a new club.
Another striker signed for the wing.

He's cursed I tell thee.

carry me home

nana na na nana na na Samir you're a ****, you're a ****

oh wait wrong chant.

On a serious note it's nice to see Wenger clearly getting rid of some of the dead wood I just dearly wish he'd sign some quality replacements. One or max 2 will come in with the excuse of "we ran out of time or the deals just weren't there to be had"

Interesting news coming from SSN...Arsenal can buy Fabregas for £35mill, they included some sort of clause into the sale...interesting stuff

arsenal have first refusal. more interesting (i thought) was the fact that arsenal also managed to get a clause written in that if fabregas does go (not to arsenal obviusly though i don't know why they wouldn't want him back) arsenal will get 50% of the fee.

it would seem to me that he is going to be at barca for the next 6 years minimum but wouldn't rule out him returning to arsenal after 30, if wenger is still there.

Given the price Fabregas has gone for, if the alleged clauses are included in the deal then it's a much better bit of business for Arsenal and suggests Barca were a) Desperate to get the deal done (as we know) and b) Broke (as we know).
