Redknapp, who is on the look out for players with "backbone and grit", says the club may have to sell one or two of their own stars to make way for the new signings.

Really 'Arry? Taken you this long to realise?

I'm confused as to why he thinks the problems we had last year would go away on their own. Going by last night's performance we are starting where we left off from the end of last years end of season form. What has happened to all the CL cash last year which was at the time "Bonus cash and would be re-invested in players?

I believe we are at the cross roads now.. We should have invested last summer when we qualified for CL and certainly in time before any competitive match this season. The lack of commitment sends out all the wrong messages that in fact, Spurs have no ambitions to move forward. If they fall behind now, then it may take years to break the top four let alone return to this season. This is obviously is turning players away. Levy said last year he wouldn't go mad on spending players last summer but in the end it may cost him dearly long term.

Sky bet saying they have had a few bets of Scott Parker to citeh. Do they just get rumoured to every single person to have kicked a football in their lifetime?

One of the guys in the Times mentioned last night that City are genuinely in for him. With Milner not being a natural CM and Yaya Toure playing further forward, they could do with some cover in midfield.

It just doesn't sound very realistic. With all the money they throw around... Yet they go for Scott Parker? :p

Is it me or should the Belgian side do better than it does?

GK: Mignolet
CB: Kompany, Vermaelen
MF: Jan Vertonghen, Fellani, Hazard. Defour
CF: Lukaku

That is a pretty decent spine to a side.

Fanatix have Arsenal linked with Schwinesteiger which would be nice if true. Schwiney, Hazard and Mertesaker, wouldn't say no.

As a City fan I'm of the opinion that we don't need Nasri. All this messing around by Arsenal, they can keep him and miss out on £25 million next summer when he walks away out of contract.

If this is true Wenger needs to spend 50 mil and get a CB, a LB and CM at minimum. If he doesn't then i think he's gone mad and we'll be lucky to be top half of the table.

Arsenal have confirmed terms have been agreed for Samir Nasri to move to Manchester City. More to follow on www.skysports.com shortly.

Yep just confirmed on SSN a few moments ago....kinda glad its finally been dealt with...now hopefully Wenger can get cracking and try to sign players we need.

Still a bit annoyed that hes left it so late, lost out on Mata due to our knuckle dragging....

Now the big question. Do you put him in your FF team? Will he play every game?

I hate picking Man City players for FF teams because at least up until last season he changed the team every match.

He seems more settled this year so I have included Silva and Hart though I am sorely tempted to switch things around and get Tevez in if he stays.

Hopefully Wenger has a suitable replacement in mind, we're desperate of some creativity in the centre. Some defensive additions wouldn't go amiss either.
