Falcao joined Atletico Madrid from Porto.

Not possible, I'm fairly sure loads of people confirmed he couldn't possibly leave if he signed a new contract

Seriously though, a greatful player who likes/loves the club but wants to move up will sign a new contract so the club gets a better deal when they move on.

This is afaik what happened with Modric, except now Levy is screwing him.

Will be interesting to see if Falcao can continue last seasons scoring in a better league and against top teams as often, very exciting player.

City's starting XI is ridiculous now, but who do they pick in midfield? Surely they have to keep on playing Djeko and Aguero together upfront as they look a great partnership? That means if they play 4 in midfield they have to drop somebody big or players who have started the season really well. Starting midfield of Nasri, Silva, De Jong and Milner or Toure? Scary!

I'd imagine this will be how City will line up;

-------------------Hart------------------
Richards--Kompany--Lescott--Kolarov
----------------De Jong----------------
---------Y.Toure---------Nasri---------
Aguero----------------------------Silva
--------------Dzeko/Tevez--------------

The potential link up and interchange between Nasri and Silva really could really be something brilliant to watch (for the City fans, not for me)

Quite simple, most teams get injuries, and as predicted several years ago by anyone with a brain, they bought certain players to get them to the two 4, ones who were competant enough to be backup when they got to the top four.

Who cares about unhappy players like Milner and Johnson, Cityy certainly don't, Mancini doesn't, the fans don't, and Milner and Johnson don't care, worst case scenario is they sit on the bench, get the odd game, and get really really rich, then go back to their careers elsewhere.

Then theres the little issue with injuries, they'll be less stupid than Arsenal and actually get some competant physio's(and a dietician just for Toure to stop him being an idiot :p ), but they'll still get injuries which will still mean other players get games, proper rotation to avoid injuries and to rest before big CL matches and other big games.

Don't worry we will have Diaby back soon for 3-4 games. Then he'll get injured untill January then BAM! 2-3 games of pure averageness!

Midfield crisis much?

Averageness, midfield crisis(its ruddy hard not to type Crysis these days, stupid game), more like come back, score an own goal in critical game, then get injured commiting a red card tackle on someone.

Its funny that we have a midfield crisis, and eleventy billion strikers, and still won't go back to 4-4-2 and give Bendtner or Vela a starting slot so they don't leave........ oh no, that would make too much logical sense.

See, I reckon it'll be more:

-----------------Hart---------------
Richards--Kompany--Lescott--Kolarov
----------De Jong---Y.Toure---------
Nasri-------Aguero/Tevez-------Silva
--------------Dzeko-----------------

More 4-2-3-1 than 4-3-2-1, basically.

Arsenal fan view*

Arsenal are no longer in the top 4 teams in the league :(

Top four are ManU, Chelase, Man City and Liverpool.

Arsenal have now dropped down to the standard of Spurs!

WTF are they doing over there at Arsenal!

No board or manager that does their job properly would let it get to this.....

Could be the first time in 15 years Arsenal dont finish in the top 4....

Why would any top level player want to play for us?

Don't know why you've automatically promoted Liverpool to 4th, Spurs are only a couple signings from being good and for me most of liverpools signings have been sideways rather than consistantly upwards.

But the rest, yes, I don't think any sane player would look at Wenger's last 4 years at Arsenal and think "thats where I want to play, no matter what, Wenger's great".

Our only real shot was a new manager a while ago, making positive early signs of improvement EARLY in the window. WE're already 5 points down, we've got a very small chance of progressing in the champs league and we've also got a very good chance of being 8 points off the top of the table after the next prem league game. :(

Jesus christ, Wolves.......Wolves are 5 points ahead of us, and its not like we had two unlucky games, sure we're playing higher up the table teams, but Liverpool weren't very good for 60+minutes, we just offered next to nothing. Right now the team is playing like headless chickens, there is no leader on the pitch, no leader on the bench, no hope, no positivity, and a constant string of utter crap from Wenger not helping anywhere.

I really hope our board are asking potential replacements if they would be interested to join quickly, and with a transfer kitty to get things done very quickly.
