Interesting point, say that Wenger basically trolls all the Arsenal fans and the money from Nasri, Fabregas, Eboue, Clichy et al is invested in the club without any major outlays on players, add in the the Champs League money and the reduced wage bill - would that make Arsenal completely debt-free?

As of January this year the net debt was around 135 million I believe so the above should have just about cleared it - which would mean any players going forward could *shock horror* actually come out of profits or *double shock horror* Arsenal would actually be run like a normal fiscally sound business :p

Part of moving to the new Stadium means that selling players cannot be used to finance the clubs debt. 75% of the revenue of selling players needs to be reinvested in the team.

Worth a punt?

So Nasri says the reason he chose to join City is because they're the team of the future and he'd prefer to be part of their initial success rather than be part of Uniteds continued success......

I remember a certain Harry Kewell saying the exact same thing when he joined Liverpool :o :p

I didn't think he mentioned Utd at all during his interview. Maybe Utd weren't an option for him.

Money talks and Nasri walks :p

He also said Arsenal were not passionate fans. Ouch that is going to come back to him when we play City. Talk about spitting at the fans on the way out.

It was on SSN, the quotes about Arsenals fans must be a separate interview as he didn't mention them in the same clip

To be fair the emirates is one of the quietest grounds in the premiership, no one can deny that

Oh I never saw that. If he was going to a team for success then I would have thought Utd would have been the better option. But then again Citys team is starting to get rather impressive despite them not being as successful as Utd.

If I wanted a trophy I would have gone to Utd. If I wanted to be with like minded people as Nasri, then I would have joined the queue handing out the money :p

Yeah it is no where near as good as Highbury but to call the fans not passionate is a bit of a dig on the way out. Probably responding to the fans that called him a **Please fully star out swear words***

Anyway, I hope he enjoys watching the games with the City fans. ;)

Arsène Wenger makes £22m bid for Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/aug/24/arsene-wenger-yann-mvila-arsenal

I've been hearing his name a lot, is he worth that kind of money?

He could potentially be good but, I dunno, French players don't seem to be doing as well as they were 5-10 years ago.

Either way, with the amount of players we have, and the possible money we have, going big is going to limit the numbers we can bring in badly.

M'vila and say Hazard it looks like might be possible, but we need a left back, a winger, a cb, backup to Wilshire, a DM, a backup to left back, back up on the right wing.

Then again, three expensive quality players, and another quality player next year would be better than a bunch of crap and Wengers recent 10mil or less buys aren't exactly as good as they used to be.

Arsenal's hopes of landing Eden Hazard from Lille appear to be over, with the French club insisting the Belgian playmaker wants to stay at the club.

Arsenal have had a loan bid rejected for Real Madrid midfielder Kaka.

Arsenal will face competition for the signature of Maura Zarate from Inter Milan should Lazio decide to cash in on the striker.

Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Raul Albiol at Real Madrid after Valencia made a recent enquiry for the out-of-favour centre-back.

Nothing promising there. I would take the Kaka story with a pinch of salt. With only a few days left it is not looking good for getting someone in quickly. Not many teams are going to want to sell in the last few days (except for Arsenal).

Going to be a long winter for Arsenal I think.

Teams will sell out of favour or unused people with no problem, remember other clubs have other players lined up as long as they can get people off the books, as always.

Problem is Kaka has been a complete flop on top of some longer term injuries. Zarate wasn't bad, but wasn't mind blowing in the premier league, with 25 goals in 3 years..... meh comes to mind.

Albiol, he hasn't exactly got a lot of competition ahead of him and can't get a game.

hazard, "he definately wants to stay/we're not selling" is just as often we want more money than you've offered as it is actually true, so who knows. But do we need another midget winger, he's 5'5 ain't he. Our midfield is TINY, I mean De Jong, Toure, Barry, and Aguero is short but built like a brick **** house, only Silva is "small".

Utd have Valencia, Carrick(tall rather than really strong), Fletcher, Anderson(not tall, but fat).

Arsenal have, Wilshire, Ramsey, Frimpong, Theo, Arshavin........ Gervinho is tall but skinny, Song is a bit taller than Frimpong. If Wilshire/Ramsey/Theo/Arshavin/Song start in midfield thats, freaking tiny basically, I don't see where another midget winger helps us.
