****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Are you using the mobile email program SEVEN? Why not try K-9 to manage your mail? I've not used SEVEN since my WinMo days ...

Mail syncing can be quite a battery drain too though. My tip, log in to Gmail on your PC and get Gmail checking your Pop3 and IMAP servers and let Gmail on your phone control all your mail.

You can set labels and filtering if you need to keep them separate.

Its the mail app in the top left in this pic that I cant seem to find to remove and is always crashing on me, and no i dont even use it!

When I open it I get this...

Tried out sprinkle game and it loads via chainfire3d but it quits to homescreen when it tries to load the game fully. No cf3d options help so looks like this game is too new for cf3d.

Refunded!

Nope not rooted, havnt felt the need to TBH, nor do I fancy having too.

Okay, unfortunately you might now have a need to if you really want rid of this app :( (I'm assuming you can't go into settings --> apps and remove it that way?)

Which carrier's ROM are you using?

Switched it off and on again, its seems the application has actually removed itself, but the icon is still their in my apps tray.

In the app tray. Press the menu button on your phone and then press edit. Should be a minus sign next to it? Tap that to remove it.

If not then I don't know :)

CM just looks rather basic to me nothing special, I just thought when I loaded it is this it and had a little play and took it off it really does nothing for me.

Batista rom for example has lots of nice touches that make it a nice experience and MIUI rom is really nice and a total change from any Android rom out there.

I feel the GS2 is a powerful phone so I want something to show its potential and for me CM just doesn't do it .

Fair do's. Might try miui as not tried that. I love cm as all the features I want are apps that I download

This is similar to MIUI but just works better for me and has good battery life.

He has moved from XDA so his roms will be coming here from now on, you will probably want to use another launcher also over the stock one as its very Iphone ish in style, there is no app draw on the stock version its like IOS filling screens, but with launcher pro on for example its back to normal

I checked out Galnet ROM and thought it had some neat features in, like a mishmash of CM7, Oxygen, Samsung's own etc but scrolling lists wasn't as smooth and there were layout differences I didn't like. I also like the advanced power menu of non MIUI based roms.

Needless to say I have restored back to Batista :D
