Barton gone to QPR.

80k a week

QPR will have to pray they don't get relegated with that on their wage bill! Him and Warnock  there'll be a fifth and sixth officials in QPR matches. Bodyguards for the ref and fourth official :p

Good player but glad the little moron has left. Would like a replacement in but I'll live if we don't.

Edit: Apparently we are being heavily linked with sone striker called Nolan Roux. Watching YouTube seems a decent finisher but never really heard of the bloke tbh.

So Spurs summer signings are Friedel, Adebayor on loan and now possibly Scott Parker? Good to see Harry's building a side for the longterm :p

Quick replacements in panic for not investing confidently last summer and this.. Parker is a decent player though.. I just wonder where VDV is going to fit in all this.. Not that I'm bothered.. not a great fan of VDV.

I would have preferred Adebayor on permanent transfer rather than loan, but that seems to be the way things are now..

Parker is in talks but not with Allardyce.

Another Levy "backroom" negotiation.

A free, a loan, and likely a cheap midfielder.

I can't argue with the money paid, but yeah, I'm not exactly ecstatic with the players we've brought in either.

Baz is right, more than £10m for Cahill is crazy. Though Arsenal probably bid £6m plus £4m add-ons including winning the league and CL to which Bolton said "lol".

I'm not saying Cahill is worth £6m, £10m or £18m. All I was saying is that Bolton aren't in a strong enough position to dictate terms.

Bolton will look at the £16-20m that Jones cost and will argue that Cahill's a more established player etc but it counts for nothing because of the situation they're in. The player's contract is up in the summer & is very unlikely to sign a new deal, Bolton have huge debts and seemingly Arsenal are the only bidder.

£6m probably is too low as Bolton will feel they could get a similar fee in January but if Arsenal hold their nerve, I can see them picking him up for not too much more (unless another club comes in for him).
