With regard to We Are Electricals. Just checkout the stock for other items? The website says "No product available" for everything I tried. This site looks like it's just appeared for Touchpads. Buyer beware, could be a scam in the making.

I've just clicked on about 3/4 things and all I was able to add to basket fine,

Although after searching for reviews on them, they don't get many good reviews ;(

The items at the bottom work but if you then press home and try selecting other categories most say no products available which seems strange to me.

I am always slightly wary when a company starts talking about 'drop shipping', as this often means that they don't actually carry any stock themselves, but just pass all orders on to a third party, such as a distributor, who may not even be based in the UK, who then despatches the item directly to the customer.

It may all be quite legit of course, but I think I would be a bit wary of an 'offer' such as this.

Will be intereting to see what prices they are asking though... and whether they say how many they actually have available.

Tomorrow morning should be interesting! ;)

This will be another Clever Boxes fiasco where they will claim they have had to pay a premium so have to pass it on to customers..

I predict £199 for 16GB

If he was going to sell at £89 he would not need to be coy about pricing, the fact he is drumming up interest and refusing to tell us the price, says it is all really and I expect he is hoping people will pay the price

It all sounds to me as if they are following the old "supply and demand" rule, as they know that none are available anywhere else, and there are still lots of folk around who are prepared to pay a damn site more that £89 to get their hands on one!

Your right except on one point I feel, there is tons of stock out there is you are happy to pay £199.. AKA Clever Boxes twitter every day that they still have stock. Also on ebay 100's of them at £190...

I dont see the point in him selling at £199, If I was happy to pay that I would have done so allready.

To me these are worth £120 for a 16GB and £150 for the 32GB.

I know that they are worth more but seeing as I don't actually need one and had no intention of ever buying a tablet.

Why that price? that's what the e-book reader I was going to get costs.

I agree, I allready set my mind to max of £150 for 32gb.... but then I saw the Archos G9 10.1 coming in the end of this month at £250, which does look excellent, despite being ugly as sin

hmm. not sure i agree with that logic but ok :p id's say the 32gb is worth more than £150 because every other tablet you will find for £150 is nothing like as good as the touchpad lol

It's my method to stop myself stupid spending.

I set a price for something then stick to it. If I cant get one whoopee...

Yes car shopping is a mega pain.

I read a review somewhere yesterday where he was trying to justify the now £199 asking price...

He quoted Kindle with Internet etc and his arguments were fairly sound, but he kept saying once android hits, but it all seems about promise at present..

They may well have had to pay a premium, BT prices went up after the first sale. Simple though, if you don't want to pay the price and you missed out on the first lot like me, then just live with it. Only a tablet at the end of the day!

Just read that the latest rumor is that HP have done a U turn and are going to produce more

That is just silly people hoping they have not bought a lemon, why would a company lose a estimated billion pounds in revenue and then change their mind.

People forget this fatal flaw, the only reason the touchpad is popular is because it is £89... put it back up to £399 and they would still be in the same boat before the fire sale.

A mediorce tablet at a high price = No Sales

Its actually a high spec tablet with an OS that most have never used.

It would make sense if they could sale it for a good price as it would increase interest in the OS. With Google buying Motorola some other tablet/phone makers may be looking at alternatives to android and don't want Windows phone.

They could also look at the route Amazon are expected to go and release a tablet with no profit or even at a lose and make their money on apps etc if they do as announced sort a port for pc's to run apps as well....

I am just going by every review I red @ Big Ted, not one gave it a very good score, I am not saying it is not high spec, but would you really buy this over the new sammy or even ipad2 as that was what the price point was, and I think most reviewers got it spot on when they said you would not.
