Chelsea: £38.4m?

All-in Lukaku's move was around £17m, Mata was ~£23m then they signed that keeper for £5m and around the same again for that Barca midfielder.

Oh and I make Liverpool around £48.5m but I won't argue over £2.5m :p

Just read that Danny Levy is interested in bringing Kaka to White Hart Lane.

I'm still expecting Everton to strenghten this summer, if Jagielka and Arteta go that should allow us to move around a bit and bring in a few new faces.

If Chelsea are offering 40m + Sturridge to Spurs, they should snatch their hands off. Modric is good, but thre are still a lot of good youngsters out their, and with Krancjar I think spurs could easily cope.

This transfer window: Arsenal: £22m, Chelsea: £38.4m, Liverpool: £51m Man Utd: £50.3m, Man City: £75m, Tottenham: £0m

Lulz.

Yeah, and considering how much we got back for the players we lost. We never strengthened, we are a weaker team now, but as usual, we have made a nice profit in the transfer market. Do that one more season I think and we may get battered double digits vs united. lol :(

I love Harry Redknapp :D

I've just seen his post-match interview with the bbc and he's saying he has no idea what's going on with the Modric and Crouch transfer saga's, yet the other day he's telling everybody the ins and outs of the Nasri switch to City :o

edit: oh and he admitted that Modric wasn't too keen on playing today.

That really was the most beautiful interview. Harry 'soundbite' Redknapp complaining about people tapping up his players. ******* 'triffic :D

Oh Parker, out of all of the clubs to leave us for why Spurs!!

I do hope he changes his mind and stays for one season or even Arsenal come in for him.

Ashley Young is a far more complete player than Nani, he'll flourish at OT, but might initially find it hard not to be the billy-big-boots he fancied himself at Villa. You'll note there's no furore from the Villa fans following his departure as there was with Barry and Milner - many are glad to see him go.

Marc Albrighton: Step forward.

See above - prior to his departure I was praising him and yet commenting on his attitude.

Unfortunately, some people don't understand the difference between "debate" and "fact" and believe their opinion to be the only valid one.

I am 110% entitled to my opinion, as we all are. Some opinions clearly make less sense than others, and the regulars in here will know that although I do like to antagonise a little, I don't talk the same amount of bare faced baloney that a few notorious posters do.....

I enjoy the banter on here and I find it extremely amusing how the masses herd together to "pick" on someone who dares to make a comment that's not considered acceptable.

Get a grip!

Surprised to see no rumours on the Arsenal front this morning. I thought we would be linked with everyone and their dog after yesterday.

Lets hope that he is putting together some deals and will tell us this afternoon. I think he mentioned that we have another striker coming in.

It's going to be a painful few days and a very long season.

Our only hope is that the Crown gives Harry a custodial sentence and we are forced to get rid of this media whoring clown. I am so sick of his ineptitude and ignorance.

It's because you are not part of the top 5 crowd which makes up about 90% of FS posters, if you aren't towing the accepted party line or talking about them teams then get used to it. I did, eventually :p

Traore having a medical at QPR according to SSN twitter. He may be crap but that's still 1 less defender at our club. Now we only really have Sagna, Vermaelen (cover), Jenkinson and Gibbs for LB/RB, Gibbs shouldn't even count seeing as he's injured 90% of the time.

With all the players leaving you almost think Wenger must have some secret master plan to pull it all together. Like he's been building and training some genetically enhanced super team on a distant island somewhere :p

Deadline day: Arsenal sign 11 new players. Jack-1, Jack-2, Jack-3..

It is laughable, how many Arsenal fans would kill for Eboue now, left back, right back, DM, either wing. Traore might not be good but, he's fitter than Gibbs, if we happen to buy a left back then Traore is still the only real backup.

Then again, I don't know if Gibbs is seriously injury prone or if its Arsenal again, is it the way we train, the medical staff, what, how is it we have more injuries than anyone else, by a mile, and why can none of our players who get a real injury ever fully recover?

New manager, new medical staff/training/recovery/treatment, would some of our sicknotes stop being sicknotes? Personally I'm very interested to see if Cesc overcomes his hamstring issue quickly and it dissappears long term as in general Barca seem to have insanely fit/non injury plagued players.

Bendtner did a great job filling in at both right wing and upfront when RVP/Theo have been injured. Thing is in Eboue and Bendtner you're losing/lost two very versatile backup players, meaning we now really need a left back, a right back, left wing/right wing, striker just to be where we were. I'm happy if we can get one versatile guy who can cover all or most of those positions but. Will we, not likely.

We're desparate for numbers, and we're STILL selling players, and buying....... more strikers. Park to get signed, then instantly pushed out of position to get starts, great, genius move.

I don't think any Arsenal fans would kill for Eboue to be back. Would he have been handy, yes. Would he have sorted out our problems, no. Would have just been another player would is played out of position.

Signing new strikers? God knows why. I am going to wait until the deadline is up and see what sort of squad we have.

How big does a team have to be to be considered a squad? :p
