Lol, just got home from work and see Traore has gone. By Wednesday the only person playing for the club at this rate will be Wenger himself. I think he must have been killed a few years ago and replaced by a Spurs fan with an uncanny resemblance and a good French accent, whose job was to pull off the most epic trolling of Arsenal fans imaginable.

How the hell can we buy half a squad (and half a squad is what we need at this point) in two days. The fact we're pining over the return of a teenager in Wilshere to 'save' our midfield says it all. What will happen to the non-existent confidence of the side when they still can't string results together with him playing?

50.5 hours to go or something. If nobody comes in I think I'll break down into a sobbing wreck.
 
He has nobody ahead of him to learn from any more either. At his age Fabregas had a wealth of experience around him. RVP is the only player in the squad now who I'd look up to if I were a player myself and he's kept hinting he's just as frustrated as the fans.

He's seriously UNDERRATED at the moment, because people don't see goals and many assists from him, however he played DM last season and was Makelele like in his discipline to stay back. If you had seen 3 minutes of preseason in the halfs that Wilshire was playing you'd realise 99% of football fans simply haven't seen Wilshire anywhere near his best position yet.

He was also pretty awesome as a defensive midfielder, a proper one, as in can defend, tracks runs, sits back but isn't a complete lump of turd and can also pick out a pass, run with the ball. Its the posession, the way he's always open for a pass and giving him the ball in a dangerous situation will more often than anyone except for Cesc, result in getting the ball to the right player to move forwards and out of danger.

The issue is, with Cesc gone and him pushed forward into the same role, DM becomes a huge problem in the team, if he stays in the DM role, the lack of someone to replace Cesc is a huge problem.

The central midfield pair DM/AM(playmaker) is the most crucial in almost every single team there is, Cesc/Wilshire were fantastic last year. With the squad as is, the only thing that makes sense is Wilshire in the same role as last year, Ramsey ahead, and just having Wilshire there will make Ramsey's job easier, better passing, better control in the area and more space for Ramsey, but he's been pretty poor so far.
 
Twitter rife with rumours that Arsenal are going to sign Andre Santos, Brazil's first choice LB by all accounts. Never heard of him myself
 
Rumors that Hargreaves is in Italy having a medical to sign for.....City :o

Pay as you play deal is rumoured.

A good player and would be great to utilise in Carling and FA and Prem when our first choice are rested from CL games.
 
Being an Arsenal man and going work tomorrow to my Man u work colleague aint sounding like fun... but I am in charge so any lip and all the no swearingjobs are heading his way :D
 
Are people saying Wenger should buy Cahill just because he's available?

If the weekend's papers are to be believed a bid of anything between 6-12m for Alex would be a much better purchase imo
 
We should get alex and cahill we can afford both and both are quality cb's

Alex is a solid no nonsense cb and cahill will be englands future captain once terry retires imo
 
tbh they should sign Bastos, he plays in the french ligue, can play LB and LM as well as LW and RW. probably cost a lot more than 7m Euros though. he also plays for brazil national team at LB and can score goals too.

wenger isn't doing himself any favours he has like 100m to spend yet is getting zero quality in, they have lost their best players, i honestly expect them to finish 8th if they are lucky.

if he spends the 100m on quality then he can probably steal 4th from liverpool, but it will be tough.

feel bad for arsenal fans, they have a nice stadium, like to play good football when they can, but their manager has a philosophy which will never work in the EPL, the only team to bring in a serious amount of quality youth was man utd, when scholes, giggs, neville and beckham, etc came through the ranks. but since then no team has managed to bring in that many top players together at 1 time through their youth team.

your basically a poor man's barcelona which has been bled dry of all talent.
