SSN also saying Arsenal have enquired about Vargas.


I think Mertersacker should be made captain when he joins.
 
Transfer window has gone mental today. This doesn't usually happen until the final day :p

As far as Boro go, as long as we can keep hold of our players and bring in another striker I'll be happy.
 
Think there is enough going on that Sheffield Wednesday can sneak in a cheeky bid for a striker? Actually don't really care who as long as they're an improvement on what we have.

if larsson thinks he is good then will be interesting to see how big he becomes, filling larsson's boots is going to be impossible, celtic should have retired his number tbh

Could be interesting although having a great player comment on how good someone else is isn't always a guarantee of quality - how many times have we heard that this kid is new "Pele" from Pele?

I agree though, Henrik's number should have been retired. There's not many players who are worth doing that for but he's one of them.

Is this just because he's gone to Man City? Seems a bit harsh since all he's doing is moving on after being released by Man Utd, not to mention it's a bit unnecessary given his knees are probably already in that state.
 
Mertesacker will be a brilliant signing for Arsenal in my opinion and Vermaelen/Djourou should have enough pace to cover when paired with him. Cahill is a decent player but Arsenal need players that have been there and done it to come in and sort their side out now, which is what Mertesacker is given he is captain at Bremen.

If they could get a similarly experienced head in midfield then they'd be sorted along with the addition of some squad players.
 
I see we still haven't made Coates official grr how long do permits take! Also since were going to make up some more nonsense we signed Messi for 60m and 150k a week wages...

Now if Neymar was true or even likely i would welcome the signing personally :p

If you're going to make it up, then we signed him on a free. I just saved us £60m. Amazing deal.
 
Vargas would be a good signing too, he can play anywhere on the left. I'm not sure who would be first choice LB out of him and the Santos guy though? They're both more attack minded.
 
Looks like Fulham are set to sign Grygera on a free after they mutually terminated his contract (apparently £120k/week). No sign of a midfielder, winger or striker (or two) though :(

i just think its abit disrespectful joining the rivals after years of united fans showing there support for him,i just think he has done this because he is abit bitter that united let him go.
