thing is though, there's no internet on that contract is there? Which you kinda want on the pre 3.

If you are doing the deal to get the phone and/or the touchpad then for an extra £5 a month (£120) over the two years you can tag on the internet data bundle.

So with quidco and keeping both the pre and the TP, it will cost you £462 over two years or £19.25 a month.

Not bad for 300 minutes of calls per month, unlimited texts and unlimted broadband for a smartphone and tablet. I can;t see any other mobile deal which comes close. That wouldn't even get you an iphone 4.

Or looking at it another way, the best similar minutes and internet contract deal is £10 per month for the sim over 2 years so really your touchpad and pre 3 is costing you £222 with the privilege of you paying in installments interest free over 2 years.

With the pre 3 selling for £400 on Ebay and 16gb touchpads for almost £200, that looks like the best deal you will get in a long time. You are almost getting the pre 3 for free.

Brother works for CPW and he told me there were getting some in a fews days back. I only just realised however that there is no 3g on the Touchpad :/ that has put me off wanting one slightly. I was planning on getting one and leaving it in my work bag and putting my work 3g sim in it.

Wifi only really limits it imo

Bugger. Managed to get the TouchPad into my basked at RdC, but, by the time the page loaded, the item was OOS, and the site said something along the lines of "Please remove this item from your basket in order to continue."

Why does everyone want a touchpad lately, what am I missing? near 300 pages is too much to go through.

Mainly 'cause they're super cheap! :p Seriously, though, at the firesale prices, they're a bit of a bargain. I'd love one as a mobile browser/e-book reader (plus more). Can't really afford a Galaxy Tab, and I'd never buy an iPad. :p

I see. thought they had some uber os that can wipe the floor with apple and androids. If only they could do voice call without pre3.

Their OS is superior.

It's really not, after using my Touchpad for only a day it feels rough and unfinished, barely beta quality. The built in apps lack polish and features (the browser especially is poor) and things like the fact that by default very verbose logging is left on that impact performance is mad. Android Honeycomb might not be quite ready either, but it's miles and miles ahead of webOS. I can't imagine that HP seriously thought they'd sell with the ridiculous pricing and beta software.
