****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Back all you apps and data up, to the SD card. Move the card to the new rooted device and restore them...

Texts and call logs can be done with a variety of apps such as My BackUp Pro.

Does no-one use the CWM backup and restore? My SGS2 camera became faulty so the rainforest sent out a new one.

All i did was take a backup via CWM, load it into the correct folder on the new phone and did a restore, worked fine (though going from an SGS to a SGS2 might not work thinking about it...)

Anyone know of a tutorial to completely backup your phone's ROM, apps and settings?

I may start trying different roms this week but I would prefer having a complete backup as currently on stock rom the settings are just right and the battery life is not that bad (but took a while of tweaking to get it that way).

I have wondered about doing this, but it's phone dependent. Different on different phones.

Basically -

1) Install ClockWorkMod
2) Select 'backup'

But does CWM also backup the apps or do I use titanium for that?

Just wondering if there is one app that backsup all settings and everything all in one easy package.

It does the entire phone, but if you want to put apps onto a new ROM, you'll need them backed up separately, which is where TB comes in :)

with titanium backup do I just need to backup the user apps, don't need to do system data as well do I as I am moving to a different phone anyway.

Well I got it rooted, titanium restored everything and got my launcher pro set up again so all is gooood!

Only trouble is now I have every contact 3x not sure where it has got them all from so how can I remove them?

I got it all sorted in the end used some app to delete all contacts then just resync'd with google and it seems to have sorted it.

Got it all to how I want it for now spent longer tweaking it visually then anything else, really is a dordle to root and restore my apps so happy days.

10 Reasons Why iPhone 5 will be Beaten by Samsung Galaxy S2

Who here thinks the Samsung galaxy s2 will beat the iphone5?
I had a iPhone 4 prior to getting a Samsung galaxy s2 and i can say for me personally the Samsung galaxy is easily the better phone... by a mile.

Guess we will find out when the iPhone 5 is revealed.I'm still coming to terms with how good my new shiny galaxy s2 is!, it is so powerful!
Got to admit i was a bit of a iPhone fan boy prior to getting the galaxy s2 but now i have seen the light.
I didn't realize it is still to be released to the yanks, i have a feeling it is going to do well.

Looking through the desktop thread and that mycolourscreen website all the best designs and layouts are on android and look exceptional. Just the sheer power of android alone with its customisation will always be a winner.
